Okay, so, last time, the roleplay didn't work out because people couldn't agree on a pace for the action. Some people advancing the story too far of others who were barely past an introduction... It's been a long time, and I feel that with some slight changes, and maybe a few guidelines thrown in, maybe this time it might work out a bit better now that people are interested in roleplaying again.

Original RP discussion can be found here: http://www.furry-within.com/index.php/topic,575.0.html

NEW GUIDELINES:

This will be an open RP, possibly in the adult category (that will be decided here, upon discussion from any interested parties). I will DM the zombies/other possible threats as needed/if needed.

No god-modding. You may have impressive skills, but you are not a magical cyborg ninja necromancer wizard from space.

Killing off characters (IF it happens) must be agreed upon OOC, and happen fairly. please don't just shoot someone in the back of a head mid post, it's rude.

Not everyone can hit every shot with a handgun. You are not Jerry Miculek.

Not everyone can hit every shot with a rifle. You are not Vasily Zaytsev.

Not everyone is a master swordsman/woman/other(?). You are not William Wallace.

Please do not dramatically alter the pace of the RP. I'm sorry if either other players cannot keep up with your plot progression, or you cannot keep up with them, but please try not to just automatically skip ahead by several days when it will alter other peoples posts, that is one of the main reasons we lost people last time, and I'd like everyone to have a chance, okay?

Please try to treat people fairly. If someone does something you don't like, do not hold a grudge (unless it's important to the plot). Additionally, please try to keep personal drama out of the roleplay.

(These may be amended as requested or needed)

-============-

The story/setting may also have some slight changes, just to make things more interesting. Suggestions are extremely welcome and encouraged.

Blood and Fur

Several months ago, A mysterious virus began spreading throughout the continent. You, like so many others found out too late, when all the headlines ran the same, grim message...

THE DEAD WALK!

No one is sure how it all began, and by now, nobody even cares. It can't be stopped, and there is only one thing left to do: Survive.

You are a lone survivor, in or near what has been effectively reduced to a ghost town surrounded by vast forests... Perhaps you hear off in the distance the telltale sound of other survivors. Should you go and seek companionship? Or are you willing to kill the living to stay alive? In this zombie infested nightmare, there is always one lesson that goes above all...

The living can sometimes be far more dangerous than the dead.

CHARACTER SHEET SETUP
((This will be your introductory post, it will describe your character to the extent needed for this RP))

Name: (your character name here)
Age: (how old is your character?)
Species: (what are you?)
Gender: (just imagine professor oak asking this...)
Orientation: (hey, gotta throw this in... straight? gay? somewhere in between?)
Appearance: (describe what your character looks like)
General info: (give a brief summary of your character)
Arsenal: (what have you armed yourself with to survive? please note that this takes place in a generally MODERN setting... so no big ray guns or phasers...)

Good luck, and don't get bit! (we don't know if immunities to this thing exists!)

LaffinFox

#1
Name: Michael "Laffin'" Libretto

Age: 22

Species: Red Fox

Gender: Male

Orientation: Heterosexual

Appearance: A 5'9" lithe fox with a lanky, almost effeminate figure, with deep red fur (bordering on maroon in color, depending on the light) brown hair, and a pair of armless glasses. He's clothed in an outfit that makes him look rather like some kind of casual day-hiker, an open fronted shirt of blue plaid quick-drying fabric, and a black tee shirt underneath, as well as a pair of storm grey fatigue pants, and a large beige hat- the kind where one side buttons up to keep the wind from blowing it away. He also had a camo field jacket rolled up and strapped to his bulging green military-style backpack. He wouldn't look at all out of the ordinary on any casual hiking trail, if not for the numerous weapons he carried.

General info: A somewhat nutty fox from Wisconsin, he'd always had an affinity for weapons and old horror movies. Luckily, his unusually wide range of hobbies and interests kept him alive quite nicely once the infection began.
After being forced to flee from what he thought was a safe place, he'd spent most of his time wandering alone through the wilderness, relying on his skills as a prepper (most of which he'd acquired from books, or camping trips with the Boy Scouts as a child) to stay alive.

Arsenal: Aside from a backpack of various pieces of camping and survival gear of varying levels of usefulness, and a 2 quart canteen of water, the fox is carrying a .22 caliber Ruger SP101 revolver with a Hogue rubber monogrip in a nylon left-handed shoulder holster, and slung on his back is a Savage arms MkII GL rifle with a 3-9x32 Bushnell Banner scope with an illuminted reticle. Additionally, he seems to be covered in a wide assortment of knives, his 'personal collection' so to speak, including a machete, tomahawk,  and a number of both fixed and folding blade knives in just about every position he could think of. He also has a rather old and batered looking IIT claw hammer tucked into the Molle webbing of his backpack. He has a particular affinity for, and dependence on weapons, as his unarmed fighting skills are virtually nonexistant.

Bones

Oi, I don't know if you are still interested in reviving this, but I would be game.

My concerns are that I would want to play the same character, and I would play her in the same way. If we had gotten around to my turn again, it would have resulted in a supply run, and I think the characters could all meet up in some way there. Who knows.

Possibly a DM would be important to have, and I could possibly do some of that as well, since my character is the whole prepared type.

Anyway, reading back over it all, yeah, we had a good thing going. I have no idea why it just abruptly stopped after Nester posted. Definitely for reviving.
On very tiny pivots do human lives turn.
