The Troubadour

About
Trou is a rather large dragon with a long snout, faded red and orange hues, large wings with a a tiny tear or two, and kind, ancient eyes. He still has long horns in an almost tribal pattern, extending backwards from his skull, and two small horns on his snout, though they're a dichotomy to his more friendly features; Here is truly a kind beast, with the potential to be terrifying, if ever he so chose again.  He can walk either quadrupedally or bipedally.  Recently he's been honouring his heritage with nudity and quadrupedal walk, but seems to have a good sense of modern humour and a neo-spiritual sense of sexual and social awareness.

History
The Troubadour was once one of many, a proud tribe of (more or less) peaceful, though immensely strong, creatures.  They were ultimately hunted, and the gatherings became harder and harder.  Now, Troubadour is alone, a noble creature with stories to tell.  His wings show damage, his bold red colours are faded, and he has kind, ancient eyes that belie an occassionally youthful countenance.  Today, he lives in a cave by the lake, deep in the woods beyond the reach of most humans, but he sometimes leaves to speak to others, or to search for his kin.

Dragons have a strong biological urge for affection.  This comes from living in packs and protecting one another with their lives.  Since Troubadour has spent so much time alone, there is a gap in his biological drives, leaving him to repress his affectionate heart, lest it overwhelm him.  Nevertheless, he loves letting this drive flourish, once he knows he's in good company.

------------

In modern times, it is said, Troubadour, absent of his own kin, allowed his visage to shrink, to become the same size as those around him; his biological urge for companionship was too strong to be so unilaterally large.  It it said his love shrank him to the size of his new friends.

Interests
Trou likes to share stories or philosophies.  He likes to meet all creatures and keep apprised of the way of the world.

He also adores affection, once he trusts another.  Dragons live together, and once dragons are separated from family and kin, there is a biological urge for physical closeness that's left unfulfilled.  There is a strong, usually-repressed urge to be very close to another. When a dragon forms a bond with another creature, it's never truly, fully broken, come hell or high water, come millenia and ill fortune, and even come betrayal. Their love is for all time.

Unlike many dragons, he isn't inclined to dominate, and is often surprised when approached by a slave looking for a master.  Although he's come to honour the honest wish to be dominated by another, he most-of-all loves to meet all sexual beings as equals, with strengths and needs no less efficacious than his own.  This translates as loving both to take and be taken: he can ravish and envelop a lover hungrily into his embrace, he can slowly, lovingly enter sexual space, or, at times, even allow himself to be taken.  His eyes are simply openly loving and quietly strong.

Dislikes
Although peaceful at heart, starting physical conflict with him is very unwise. He loathes intolerance, and will defend the hunted (except for the sake of food). The dishonouring of sexual boundaries especially excites his anger.

the sky belongs to us all."
