Jen

New Tokyo
Landing Pad 808
1900 hours

"Okay okay, sheesh... you can come with me this time" said Reen as he stepped out onto the landing pad, looking up at the ship that he had recently purchased, even though the thing had been through two wars and shot in half once, he figured the ship was a pretty damn good investment, especially for someone that lived on a farm most of his life.

Jen smiled softly and giggled a bit as she got her way, padding up beside the taur and looking up at the ship. "Wow... you'd never think it's used!" she said, her silver dress reflecting some of the light from the buildings as she looked about the platform, seeing the cargo they were loading. "And no government contract either... this smells fishy" she crossed her arms over her chest and sighing slightly, the cold air making her breath steam up.

"Welcome to New Tokyo, Jen" he smiled and began to climb the ladder to get up to the bridge of the ship, popping his head up just in time to see the cleaning droid go back into it's hole. "Welcome to the Foxfire, miss Jen, please, make yourself at home." he climbed up to make way for her, offering a hand to help her up.

She looked up just in time to see the hand, smiling and grabbing hold of it and letting him pull her into the ship. "Thanks..." she looked about the bridge before marvelling at how advanced the clunker of a ship really was. "Wooow... I think this thing just needs a bath and it'll be set!" she smiled back at him before walking over and sitting down in the captain's chair with a soft sigh. "So you really gonna let me go on this run with you? Because if you are, I need to bring clothes and such with me"

"Err..." he rubbed the back of his head before thinking what she could really be good for. "Yea, you can be a diplomat if we need one" he smiled nervously, hoping she wouldn't think it's a joke. "My only problem is finding a crew... no one wants to touch the run I accepted, and I am afraid that the people that is having me haul this crap up there... a sixteen month trip"

"Good God, where are they hauling this cargo to?" she asked, perking a brow before shifting around in the seat. "And is this your chair? It's a bit big on me..."

"No it's not mine, that's yours" he said with a roll of his eyes. "Of course it's mine silly goose, I'm the captain of the vessel after all!" he grins, he finally got to call himself captain of something. "Now then... 5000 tons of gold is some number. I can't afford to get insurance on the cargo so it's even more dangerous for me pocket book"

"Jeez, what'd they do, rob fort knox and steal all the gold?" she asks with a smirk.

"No idea, all I know is that this pay off will make me, and whoever else that signs up, rich!" he grins and wags his tail slightly from side to side. "I will finally be more than a farm boy... I'll be living the life of upper class!" he chuckles and looks out the window "So do you think you can be more than a diplomat on this trip?"

"Uh, hello! I own a sushi restaurant, remember? it runs itself but hey, doesn't mean I don't know how to cook, and just encase, I will bring a few cookbooks with me so I can keep everyone fed and happy!" she smiled a bit before whispering something into the Foxtaur's ear.

"Errm..." he adjusted the collar on his uniform, which was merely a black vest with the farmers alliance emblem on the left portion of the chest and on the back. "Well... I see now!" he laughs nervously before gently kissing her cheek. "Well let me show you where we all will be sleeping" he stood up and motioned to the door to the left, padding over to it and opening the door for her, motioning for her to go in.

Jen smiled and stood up from the chair before making her way over to the door, peering in at the total of twenty bunks on either side of the room. "Wow... and I guess you crash here too?" she asks, looking at him with a faint smile. "And where does this door go?" she pointed at the other side.

"That goes back into the cargo hold" he smiled and already had his bunk broken in a few pictures on the back wall. "Plenty of room to fit two people... and a curtain for privacy" he snickers and smiles. "But why would we need to share bunks when we have more than enough?" he then opened the door to the cargo hold so she could see in.

She looked up from the taur's bunk and seen he was peering into the cargo hold, smiling and looking down into the deep bay as well "Wow... so much gold!"

"I know right?" he licks her cheek before chuckling and heading back in. "Next is the living quarters... the kitchen, showers, and just general hang out area"

She smiles and follows him into the living area, which was pretty standard on the ship, though she was surprised at the red velvet ring couch and carpet in the living area. "That your doing?" she asks, pointing at the couch.

"Ayup!" he grins and checks the stove. "Good this works... fridge is right here next to it." he looks in and grabs a bottle of water with a soft sigh. "What to do..."
The Light must be extinguished for the Shadows to disappear...
