I have rather vivid dreams almost every night and I though I'd share the one I had last night since I was able to recall it fairly well. I sat in bed putting it all back together when I woke up and then hastily typed it out before it was forgotten. Feel free to comment or write your own dreams in this thread. Here is just one morning's worth of my own, but I do plan on writing more whenever I get an chance and can remember them this clearly.

I can't remember where the dream actually began, but I remember I was part of a large group consisting mostly of my closest friends along with a few children and people I've taught or worked with in the past. I think the place was a large theater. It was built in the style of an old playhouse theater, but more modern looking in both style and design. Mostly blues, reds and purples I think.

We were brought to a rather large table that fit all of us and we sat at a large feast/party. I can't remember the food as it seemed to be brought to an close quickly. Once we sat down, I think there may have been a toast or something and then all at once the food had been eaten, gift paper and parts of boxes were strewn about the table and half the people were gone. One of my best friends ever sat beside me looking bored and doing Sudoku puzzles in a large beat up blue notebook. She and I talked about how we liked writing our own puzzles and solving them. Writing a new one if we got stuck and then going back to finish the unfinished works later.

After that, I left the party and went outside. I remember the outside of the 'theater' seemed to look more like a giant mansion built in an old English countryside manner with wooden decor along the outside walls and and well, I'm not good at describing houses. I went out to my car which I guess was a black Yukon SUV and found that a large Rubbermaid bin of electrical components that I guess belonged to me had been left outside with the lid off an had become partially filled with water. I was pissed off and tried to drain it while an English man looking like some sort of professor came towards me trying to warn me about something. He seemed friendly enough though even as I yelled at him that I didn't care and placed my watery bin in my truck and climbed inside. The truck however would not start and began to roll this way and that towards the four lane and rather busy highway at the end of the steep drive. Fortunately the SUV managed to make it all the way across onto an adjacent drive and I was able to stop it there. Catching my breath.

I got out and hailed a cab and got inside. I told him I needed to get home and off we went. However, we weren't driving long before he told me my truck would be okay and I should save myself the cab fare. I agreed and we stopped on the side of the highway. However, my 'fate' I guess seemed to split in half and another 'me' inside a copy of the same cab kept driving on like a ghost. I tried to call the other me, but I couldn't get a hold of him or he didn't care that I wanted him to stop. So, the cab driver and myself agreed we had to walk.

We walked our way through a dark forested swamp that was filled with a myriad of dangerous creatures that we tried to avoid. We stayed along a path and found numerous large white wolf effigies built here and there along the path. He explained that residents (of the forested, dark, fog filled swap) built them to keep the wolves at bay. Apparently, when the wolves came across the effigies, they'd feel frightened and leave.

Eventually we made our way to a run down old cabin that seemed to distinctly resemble the house belonging to my wife's parents. It was the exact same house with the same furniture on the inside, only much older and rotten with age and decay. The cab driver told me to call upon friends of mine to help us. For some reason I summoned a guy and a girl that I don't believe I knew, I'm not sure.

Together we made it further through the woods until I heard music being played. Particularly incredibly played guitar. The sound was amazing and I had to check it out. I found a small shed and inside was a tall man. He had a long narrow beard coming down from the center of his chin, a fine looking black suede jacket and he was playing a shiny silver guitar. The guitar looked like something the guy from Daft Punk would play. He played it with amazing precision, but explained to me that he had yet to unlock further secrets of the guitar. (He explained all this while still playing) He gestured with his head to a hold in the floor of the shed where lay an unearthed coffin containing bones which seemed to resemble a long dead Slash. He had remnants of his signature long hair and a worn dusty large top hat on his head. In his hand was a book like a rather large necronomicon clasping tightly between his bone hands. I went for it and pulled, but the guitarist got angry and tried to fight it from me.

It was then I woke up from my dream within the dream to find myself at another large house staring down at the same old book laying open on one of those long psychologist couches. Outside were children playing in the summer sun with a sprinkler and I think a slip and slide as they laughed and giggled and there I stood with the partially open book in one hand and a handful of pages in the other. I remember looking at the book and seeing that the pages then jumped with page 1 on top of page 9. I didn't see page 2 so it may have been with the other in my hand. My mother came into the garden atrium where I seemed to be standing and told me to return the book. I told he I couldn't since the pages had been taken out, so she told me to sell it.

I looked at the other books and found something on The Simpsons. Though I hadn't seen the show for some time, I examined the book and read about an episode (which I can't quite remember) which seemed to play out in my mind as I read. After that, I woke up.

I went back to sleep, had another dream about well trained animals that obeyed every command and seemed to be very...open-minded I suppose, but that didn't last long either and I woke up once more.

The third dream though was worth writing I think. I was on a boat with a pair of Nazi's. It was a large speed boat and we were trying to stop this scientist type guy from escaping. I remember that I wasn't a Nazi myself, but I had found that working with them instead of resisting was getting me better treatment and helping me to build a report with them. They weren't black clad Nazi's either but were wearing linen suits in stead. Like Donovan in Last Crusade. We seemed to chat a bit in English as we tailed the scientist. We couldn't shoot at him for fear he may be hurt. Instead we just followed. Whenever we got close, I pleaded with the other scientist to give up, but he didn't listen. Eventually I gave up and went below deck to rest and then I woke up.

I think I'm going to copy you with a thread of my own!  I love reading about people's dreams and the only to remember them sometimes is to write it all down.
