What has been the absolute worst thing to happen to your character? What event(s) changed them to where they cannot be who they once were?
Oh, this one is a tough one.
For Kris its not a single one event, but through the course of her years in Faerune, she watched her dreams be turned into nightmares through the actions of people she felt close to. It would take a long time to explain.
For Thala it would actually be the experience of being stolen from her parents, even though this didn't last long.
Alaric has really not had anything this bad happen yet.
Cindy. Raped, and she went through a period of hiding herself and dressing in full-covering robes, only trusting her dearest of friends.
Bryce: His girlfriend was killed, Team Rocket attack on some place or other.

Timber lost his first wife who was pregnant at the time during the civil war and he became a turn coat for the south. He found her bones in his burnned down home. He was mad enough to fight the only "tribe" he had left

Yuko was beaten as a child and often bullied but once he went to the hospital after being jumped and stabbed at school he never got into another fight making him shy and anxious

Oh, that's a hard one... Well, there were some things I've already listed in the section on his childhood (Asperger's syndrome, parents divorce, bullied), but more recently he's had a few heartbreaks that have him actually a little afraid to become romantically involved on an emotional level with anyone, a few of his favorite "clubs" (rp sites) shut down (one of which he actually blames himself for), and certain events from the old Tavern he used to frequent (Yiffy.tk) in which much larger furs, scalies and avians had tried to kill him (first resulting in him practicing necromancy as a way to not permadeath his character, followed by the LaffinClones as a literary solution to people killing him), he's changed over time from the comparably innocent young fox he was at his creation in the furry community.
Ginger's had a good life. Nothin' too tragic.
Kar has lost her family; her mom died and she has no idea where her father went. She can't ever go back to being that sweet, innocent child that she once was. She's also lost the capacity to fully trust people. She's always wary of what people want from her.
