So, I started learning origami nearly twenty years ago. I started because, when I was young and naive, I heard that making 1000 paper cranes was something that brought about good luck. So I set about doing that over the course of about six months. I made the 1000, used a lot of copy and craft paper at my school in the process. Turns out it was just superstition though, and paper cranes don't cure cancer.
But on the plus side, I learned a skill that has started no fewer than two conversations with strangers. But I never really learned all that much. I know how to do a few interesting paper planes (one which use a ring for a wing, for example), frogs, butterflies, and of course cranes. I managed to get my hands on a few hundred squares of origami paper, so I figured I'll fuck around and learn some new patterns, and post them up here when I'm done. For reasons or something.
I'll be trying for one new pattern a day, but we'll see what happens.
First one for today, starting off with a very easy pattern; a simple fox.

Do a bear next! Do a Bear :D
Well done. Mine came out a bit differently, probably from using a similar but different pattern. I'll link images when I'm not dead tired from work.
Just a quick one while I was waiting for a game to update.

Still an hour left before it's tomorrow, at time of writing. Still counts.
Bird of paradise today. Little rough, since I didn't have scissors on hand, and I needed to make an equilateral triangle to start with.

So're these dead, or are they still happening?
