Title: Questions for your character 15
Post by: Lattenmon on February 21, 2017, 05:05:55 AM
Most characters are developed with what amounts to a certain time period in mind, one they tend to reside in perpetually, whether it be medieval period, fantasy, scifi, or beyond in any direction.

How would your character survive being transported to another time period? Say, from 'present day' to medieval, vice versa, or anyversa? Could they survive the realistic, or even the anime/TV show tropes common to the period? How would they adapt? Could they adapt?

I would die. Just...no. Medieval times were gross, western times were gross. There's a lot of stink and disease.

Well, considering Laffins interest in Medieval culture, he might do relatively well there. That said, I typically use another character, Mik'hel the khajiit, for medieval settings.

Ging is pretty adaptable. I feel like she could do well no matter where you throw her. I mean, after she cries over it and then realizes that she has no choice  but to go on. But yeah, she'd get the hang of it eventually.

Since that's basically what happens any time that Amariithynar visits the End of Time Club, not much of a problem at all. He's used to time travel to a certain degree, and his repetoire of magic and inherent abilities makes him rather suited for doing so; if he were to be stripped of his powers, though, and thrown through time, he'd have a significantly harder time of it, especially depending on the form he was made to take for the experience.

Crashland: "..." He pulls out what looks like a photo album and starts thumbing through it. "This is from when I was an airship captain in an alternate reality where the Victorian period never ended because everything became powered by magic crystals. I still have the military jacket somewhere. This here? This is where I was a mercenary mech pilot. God, do I miss that weapon's platform...ooh, and here-"

Micah: "What he means is, at some point, he was the "go-to" for every goddamn time period that could be thrown at him. Come to think of it, I tend to bounce around time periods like I'm on Quantum Leap as well. There's always an adjustment period, but in the end, it's still a helluva lotta fun."
