Title: Questions for your character 16
Post by: Lattenmon on February 21, 2017, 05:16:54 AM
Mental fortitude is what can keep a person from the brink of defeat when it counts the most, or when the tough times are at their worst. Would your character have the 'can-do' attitude to learn to survive being dropped into an unexplored area for a week? A month? A year?

Survival is also about knowledge and practical experience. Does your character have a good understanding of the basic skills to live in their own environment, let alone another?

Timber grew up as a nomad,  and his 300ish years of life experiences makes him know a lot of "street smarts" had lived multiple "lives" takeing up different jobs usually along the lines of ranch hand, carpender, farmer, miner, logger (didnt last long since everyone yelled TIIIMMBERR" Before trying to drop a tree on him)  in between being a soldier during times of war,  witch exposed him to hot and humid climates, artic conditions, and even deserts, if anyone can survive in a "new" land a stubborn timber would be better off than most, he actually has a harder time liveing in a world dominated by "double clicking" on things than out in the sticks, he's quite the representation  of "country boy can survive"

Laffin has a decent knowledge of survival skills that should come in handy in most environments. At the same time, his mental fortitude is all over the place. Depending on things that have been going on in his life, he might have either incredible mental fortitude, or he could very well turn into a nervous wreck... though, in a wilderness situation, as long as he has a good knife on him, he can generally keep his cool pretty well. Laffin ALWAYS has a knife.
