Every summer was the same it seemed. Ancona would come in to her flower shop, tend to her plants, fill out orders and organize bouquets for every event under the sun. She knew what she was doing, in fact she was one of the best florists in Falcon County. Annie was secure in the knowledge that she'd always have work, and she adored meeting with customers to put together orders and arrange her flowers, but that did little to mask one painful fact about her life. She was lonely.
Annie was raised by her aunt in the city of Cedar Creek three states away, and longed for a life out in the country where things were peaceful. She and her aunt separated on bad terms and Annie hasn't kept in touch with her since. Annie did have friends, and she wasn't ungrateful for that, but her heart ached for romantic companionship. She wanted a lover, she wanted a family, and today she was going to make the effort to change things.
After finishing up her shift for the evening, the hen went home and changed into her cutest outfit: A floral-print pink shirt and a pair of tight denim capris that accented her thick figure, and drove into town to the local pub and made her way inside.
