Title: Important: Future of FW, PLEASE READ
Post by: Azhtek on April 17, 2011, 05:32:38 AM
FW, in its current form, has been active for about seven months now, and in that time, virtually nothing has happened. Some people have signed up, a few games have been started, the majority of RP has stagnated almost immediately, and people forgo the forums entirely to just hang out in the chat, wherein they usually idle silently till they decide to log out. This would be less of an issue if the forums weren't the point of entry for new people, who see the inactivity and just decide to not bother registering. I know this, because I've been told by people who have gone elsewhere.

Now, in the past, I've tried a veritable plethora of ideas, and none of them had any impact on what you people wanted. Tried an FW radio station, never got off the ground because people couldn't commit themselves like they'd promised. Tried an arcade, but again, same problem. Oekaki drawing boards, image boards, Ventrilo, even the idea of hosting online games like Team Fortress, Minecraft and the like, all of these ideas, you people either just shrugged at with indifference, or just voted against. I ask what you'd like to see in the site, and again, shrugs and someone saying, "I'd help, but..." Even the people who initially wanted to help bring the site back to life has abandoned it, some as soon as just a couple months in.

And frankly, what is there for people to stay for? The inactive forums sure are a great draw, as are the people in the chat who seem to outright ignore new members, drive others away, and sit on their high horses, looking down their noses because they somehow have a higher opinion of themselves than reality should permit.

I'm trying to bring new people in from various other places, but they take one look at this place and they just go elsewhere. Honestly, I can't blame them.

At present, the site is costing me approximately $60 a month in server rental fees. I'm stating this, not because I want donations, but so you realise what this is costing me to essentially keep a chat active for most of you to idle. You people apparently don't want anything additional to the site, because you'd never use it (From what I've seen, and from what you yourselves have told me), and you're inactive in just about every area of FW.

As some of you know, I've got some surgery coming up to deal with some long-term issues, and I may be away for a short time. The money for this is all coming out of my own pocket, and if the site is becoming something of a luxury expense, then I will axe it.

So now, I have to ask; has FW just become a redundancy? Is there really any reason for me to keep wasting my money on this thing, or do you honestly want to improve the site and make it an actual community instead of a social clique for a few snobby people kicked out of Yiffy?

I, personally, would like to see Furry-Within brought back to full power so there is more than just one single furry chat and forum site online. I have stated before that I would be willing to donate money, and to do whatever it takes to keep Furry-Within going.

However, the main problem I have seen so far, at least as far as the chat goes, is that if someone logs in and doesn't see anything going on, they won't start anything. I have seen that if two people are RP'ing in the chat, and someone else comes in, they will sometimes stick around and observe, and maybe even join in.

I think we just need to advertise some more. Perhaps put an ad up on FurAffinity. Maybe talk to Google. Things need to happen or the coin is going to start circling the funnel.

As stated, money isn't the primary concern, it's getting what I'm paying for and making this place more active that's more the issue.

Advertising on FA would be nice, however, what is there to advertise? Nobody wants anything, so far as I can tell, from all the times I've asked, with exception to "a character page like what Yiffy has", which I do not have the time to write. There's a gallery that refuses to meet my expectations, and that's about it.

I'm not against the idea, and I would, but from an outside perspective, looking in, there's not that much here. People can say otherwise, but it needs a hook; a reason for people to stay beyond just a forum and a chat, which other places have already.

I have referred a couple people here for RP purposes but unfortunately don't really have the time to devote to any actual forum based RPs or anything of the like; which makes me feel as if I am not fully doing my part in that respect :/  But personally I really enjoy chatting with most the people I have met in here, and have RPed via messenger or what not with a few.  I have not found another site that I feel relaxed around and really enjoy the atmosphere for the most part.  Ah well, thanks for your efforts in any case.

Alright, I was going to drop an analogy about this place being like a skate-park, you built, without skaters (just a few cliques and teens who chill out here, right); but, if you really think there's something wrong with this site then let's look at it critically.

The site's dry, right? Shit like respectable literature is practically nil (essays, poetry, stories, whatever), storytelling and polls are few and far, and Adult RP is lax (and you probably thought that would be the kicker, right? Furries role playing furry sex on the boards so others could ogle it like the nymphos furries are portrayed as? Like when Fchan used to have twice as many gay pics compared to straight/bi, why the hell is it empty here?).

Comparing sites: F-list has its fetish index, comprehensive. SoFurry used to be about stories, now it's just a gallery like FA where (day-)old works are buried in dust. The only thing yiffy.tk has is history with users, and a rocky one at best, nothing else, really. I Google "yiff" and I find SoFurry on the lower half of the page. Googled "furry" and FA hits near the bottom. These other sites don't touch, and encyclopedia dramatica and urban dictionary top the chart. The only way you find "Furry Within" is like how you find Yiffy.tk or F-list: type the name exactly. My point is that when someone's searching for fellow furries, they're not seeing this site - not within the first three pages. After that, who gives?

Still, that shit could be expensive. The fact that you care so much to try these ideas, and pay for them, like Vent, is just... fuck son. I wish you could feel your hard-ass work rewarded (and it is hard-ass, bro, no doubt. Beyond hard, because, like the rest of us you've got a whole-nother life to live daily). You're giving us furries a place to be. If FA and all those other sites were cities (and they might as well be), then this place is like a town. Homely. This is a place with maybe few ative members, but where most can feel equal to others, without that class-mentality that goes with the big sites. Membership here seems tight, people notice, and as a furry there's nothing more satisfying than that. Thanks, Azh.

To make things clear; the site is not[/b] shutting down. Not yet, at least. I just need something to justify my costs. Yes, it's a nice hang-out, but in the long haul, I feel like I'm getting ripped off. I want to expand this place, so more people have a reason to come here. Though I'm sure there's a handful of people who have already abandoned ship due to this topic's title alone. (Given that they're aware of the forums in the first place.)

Granted, I will admit that the site needs a lot of work, and when I get everything I need functioning how I want it, real work will begin. But what I really need is feedback, from people here, on what they actually want. Think outside of the chat for a moment. I'd want more than just a fucking shrug or "I'd help, but...", which I seem to get the majority of the time. The only thing on backburner right now is a decent gallery CMS, since the one I'd like refuses to work with my SQL databases. Anything else, feel free to comment.

Aside from a kick-ass profile system I'm not sure there's much I want (maybe this summer I will try to learn how to code again, but don't count on it ;D).

We're here because we want to be here, perhaps you should be asking the people who left what they want?

Azh, you speak the truth on all levels.

As far as actual CONTENT on the site goes, we really shouldn't keep putting drywall up when the house is burning down. Right now, it's really just a problem with user activity and interest. I'm not really sure why people come here just to idle in chat or say they are interested in an RP only to drop off the face of the earth.

You know as well as I do that I don't cry about it, but I can't help wondering the same things that you expressed in the original post. I'm always on board to keep this thing going, because generally I enjoy hanging out with the folks on here when I do hop on. If more hyperactive collie is required, I can definitely acquiesce (thank you spell check!), but I have a feeling it's something more than that. The dudes and dudettes here just need to think, "Why did I join in the first place? Maybe I should be MOAR active!"

Or we could just post memes over and over again? JUST SAYIN :3

Good news, there are people willing to Roleplay within the chat itself.

Thanks to Anastasia Sage, Felicia wolverini, Dark Kitsune, and Qaja we got something rolling within the chat and kept it going.

I was able to drop some suggestions to a few people on other sites today about coming here, one actually came over. I'll be doing what I can to bring life back to here. Can't promise a quick fix though. But I've always liked a challenge. :D

-Nods nods nods-

I gotta say I fully support the idea of getting up there on the Google search. I guarantee there are furs out there searching for places to go without finding them. I myself was completely lost trying to find something new until Azh got this place up and running again. I knew there had to be places out there other than Yiffy, but again, nothing comes up when you Google it!

Also, I do admit that there is more that I could be doing to help out. I really REALLY want to do a radio, but firstly I doubt anybody would listen (since there usually aren't many people on when I am) and secondly I'd need a second machine to do it since my laptop is often being moved around and I don't have my desktop with me right now. Hopefully when I move to Boston I'll be able to set something up that can run 24/7.

I did write an into to a rp thread, but with few views and nobody replying, I just sort of gave up on it and never began another. I suppose I could write a few more and I just might if I think someone is going to join in.

Anyway, VIVA LA FURRY WITHIN!

I figure the radio, like most radio stations that I hear so I am using there example, have DJ's that work in shifts. So for a radio station that is built and used through this site, we would have to have a set schedule and list of people willing to DJ for the times that they are most free.

Here is an example for how it can work:

At 4:00 PM Central time one user finishes there set. Another gets on at 4:10 and continues till 9:00 central time. (I'm using central time to give an idea for it, it can be set up differently when we get it started.) The music could be set up so that it shifts from one genera to another when the next DJ  comes on, or if we can agree on music we have one person play there favorites in that genera then the next person do the same.

But for how cool, and entertaining this can be. I think we gotta put it on hold till we can get more members to listen to the stations.

As for the google thing, I wouldn't know how to get FW higher on the list besides getting more people here to increase the traffic.

I was having trouble thinking about what I want, but I am fine with what is going on. I liked the Vent thing, and used it often, but it's gone now. I am also going to try to RP on the forum again.

However, Cheeky also brought up a good point. Maybe the people who look around and leave should be asked what they want from these sort of places. What exactly are they looking for when they come to this site? The base thing is there. A furry forum.

Then again, not being able to find the place would put a damper on things. Do we advertise on other sites or what?

Still kind of out of it from anaesthetic, so I'll keep it brief and see if I can only use real words and not ones dreamt up in delirium.

Google ads are expensive, and they're even more costly when you're paying to be at the top of every page. Trust me, I've tried it, and I ran up a very large bill for very little return.

The radio would be nice. It would set us apart from many other sites. However, the problem is getting people to commit to the project. Here they are, pretty much signing up for a second job. I have access to software that would allow us to do these sorts of things, I have knowledge and experience to teach people, I'm pretty sure I have the old walkthroughs on setting things up, but without people whom I can solidly rely upon for this, it's just another monetary sinkhole. Last time, we had everything prepared, had people assigned to DJ, playlists sorted, and no one showed.

As for asking people who left, I have asked a number of them over time what it is that made them leave. Some said they just didn't know anyone, some stated they didn't like the company, some had a grudge against me for being another Hitler (because, as we know, I fucking loooove pushing for master races, killing Jews and invading small European countries), some just got bored after logging on once and seeing no one around. And the rest, they just thought there was nothing here they couldn't get from anywhere else.

Post by: Mito Blue on April 20, 2011, 08:11:35 PM
Ugh. Those who don't know anyone, that is the point of a new place. The idea is to talk to the people and get to know them. With not liking the company, I can go on about that, but I won't. And of course Hitler himself was a Furry and ran a forum in which he wanted to keep order in instead of letting everyone run amuck. I know I regular Zieg Heil you as you put me in Ze Burner. With boredom, I like a lyric from a song "If you are bored, then you're boring." The idea is to make your own fun and see how many people join in on it. With the rest, they do have a point. Type "Furry Forum" in a Google search, and you'll find tons of them. But even when there were new features, I don't remember newbies showing up and saying, "Hey, I saw this feature and thought it was awesome!"

For radio, I don't know. Personally, I have my own music. I don't even listen to normal radio, let alone Internet radio. If it is going to waste money, I don't see the point in it. And sadly, the only way to know if people are going to show and do their job is if they pay to be on the radio. That way, they won't want their own money wasted so they'll do it. They would essentially have to pay for their job in order to make sure they do it. Good intentions don't pay the bills.

I'm going to look for Furs on other sites, like gaming forums or anime forums, etc, and see if they would like to check this place out and add their ideas on how to make this place more lively. That's honestly the only way I know how I can help.

I will be the first to say that I would love to do the radio but I am seriously not a reliable person.  T_T

Azh, if you send me the tutorials and stuff I am very willing to try setting up some pre-recorded shows and if I set up ten or so in advance (Just for extreme cases when I just kind of vanish for extended periods of time) then there will be things for when I flake?  Would a system like that work well enough?  I would love to DJ and getting the chance to DJ will bring my partner onto the boards.  He's always wanted to DJ but (no offense if he ever reads this) he's not very reliable either so he'd likely set up a similar system.  ^^'

[Quote from the sloth]
Here is an example for how it can work:

(I'm using central time to give an idea for it, it can be set up differently when we get it started.) The music could be set up so that it shifts from one genera to another when the next DJ  comes on, or if we can agree on music we have one person play there favorites in that genera then the next person do the same. (/end)

Okay, I like this idea only because I know a site that does this. If you have heard of he site called Fubar.com Its a site that has many different channels and amongst the channels are different mods and admins, and DJs. Its all about the music, many DJ's, many songs, many places. I mean the radio would be good, but I just dont think its out there enough. I mean its probably something easy to go to, but I just dont think it would be enough to get people interested [yes I can be pessimistic] if you do decide upon the radio things I would think request and music sharing should be incorporated.

The only other things I can think of is directed more to the lack of traffic. Maybe not enough people are spreading the word? I hate to offer this suggestion, but try putting advertisements on furry dating sites, every one there is simply looking for some one to relate to I know of a couple if examples are needed. Maybe even gaia *I know I know, but its simply a thought.*

Anyways. I know seems like a thoughtless post, but I have plenty of ideas and examples, I just dont know how to display them entirely heh. But talk to me if you are looking for ideas of how to attract people and all that jazz. YOu know where to find me :)

I'm clearly pretty far behind on this save-the-site train.  I'll admit I've been one of the biggest offenders of long, unexplained absences.  But I'm here for the long haul.

I don't really know how to do much with the site, but I'm willing to learn how to do more upkeep type things and I have more time that I can be putting into the site now.  Argon moved in with me and has been kind of monopolizing my computer until now but I'm back and here to stay.  I know it's not really manpower you need and I don't have much to add, but I just thought that probably knowing you have your staff who is loyal and willing to help execute whatever you decide to do.

....>.>

<.<....

That's really all.

Having skimmed over this topic, I can't say for sure if these ideas have already been brought forward, however, here are some from my head:

Both of those ideas are good, at least to me, but I do admit a problem with the second one: Where would the t-shirts be sold at, and how do we drive people towards that site? What kinds of designs do we want? What do we want the shirts to say? Alas, I have little to no artistic talent, so I can not assist with pictorial graphics. However, I can try my paw at creating a textual slogan, address, or what have you to put on the shirt. If there is interest in that, that is.
Title: Re: Important: Future of FW, PLEASE READ

That is so expensive and panels at booth at conventions are useless unless you go to every convention in every city all over the world.

T-shirts...maybe?  It could work, in theory, but furries are too few and far between for T-shirts to be effective at advertising because only furries would see it.  Plus...furries are poor so maybe 5 people would buy a shirt off this site and the chances of those five people running into furs that would care enough to come here are ridiculously slim.
Title: Re: Important: Future of FW, PLEASE READ
Post by: Rainavera Ookami on April 25, 2011, 11:38:07 PM
Maybe sell the t-shirts for a few bucks? Sure, it'd put it in the red, but it would get the word out, nonetheless.

Even if they were a few bucks I don't think it would be worth the waste, but that's just my opinion, it's obviously Azh's call in the end.
Title: Re: Important: Future of FW, PLEASE READ
Post by: Nester Delgado on April 28, 2011, 05:28:58 AM
I'm for the shirt idea, but there are a few snags. First being, yes, furries typically don't have a lot of money. Not sure why that is really. I think there are many successful ones out there if you consider the cost of some comissions. However, there aren't exactly millionaires on here. Plus, how is goig to design it? It should be something people would pay at least 10 or 12 dollars for.

I do really like idea of having a booth at a convention or two though. There aren't exactly a ton of furry conventions in the U.S. let alone the rest of the world. I suppose we could sneak in a booth at an anime convention or something similar, but furrydom isn't exactly going to get the best attention at E3.

My suggestion is this, we consider doing just one convention for now. Just as an idea. We get some shirt designs and maybe make a few to hand out to people at the con. A cheap silk screen should be abut $5 a shirt if we do it right. We see how many new followers we get and go from there.

In the meantime, I highly, HIGHLY, suggest that we work together to create new content that really peaks peoples instrests. Otherwise we might as well be asking people, "Hey! Look what we made! Neat huh? It's a chat room where you can talk to furries from all over! Come on and sign up!"

Like Azh keeps saying. We need content. I've heard some great ideas so far. Customizable chat avatars, f-list like interest pages, iPhone furry connect app, (that's not a bad idea really), pod casts, radio, merit system like awards for so many posts/followers on FA and the like and much more.

The issue is, who is going to put it all together? Once we actually have something to sell, then we can worry about distribution. Otherwise we might as well we can't expect anyone to really buy into this for no reason other than a chat room that gets less traffic than yiffy, and a system of forums that is only good for games and general discussion.

(sorry for any typos, I have to use my iPhone to type this and yes, I hate my phone. Inhate y iPhone very much)
Title: Re: Important: Future of FW, PLEASE READ
Post by: Bellatrix on May 04, 2011, 06:19:33 PM
--Customizable chat avatars[ this is a pretty big hit on a lot of places I go. People like the instantaneous feeling instead of clicking links, and it peeks interests to know what the characters are like. I am not sure where the programming comes into and how difficult it is to make the site with this, but it is a pretty big hit.]

--iPhone furry connect app [ This sounds cool but again how much would it cost considering a hefty bunch of us are broke..]

--pod casts, radio [This seems a lot simpler, and about the closest thing in our reach cost wise, I would...think?]

--merit system like awards for so many posts/followers on FA and the like and much more.

I guess it all comes down to cost. So maybe we should start a donation system so we could afford to get this cool stuff, that is if we cant do it on our own or pay for it with our own pocket. I know Azh said he wasnt looking for donation, but thats what it really comes down to, a little here and there could go a long way and I dont think it would be a complete loss. Cause if you have to pay programmers *if none of us are one* then I believe that does need to be done.

Azh good buddy,  i don't think there is a single thing wrong with furry within.
ever hear the saying "The fan's don't know what they want"? In this Case its the truth too. Some people are so focused on what they think they lack that they don't see what we truly have.
We have great Role players who know how to play, persuade and seduce men into hormone induced Coma's. We have Friendly furs that always have an ear out for those who feel hurt. We have a great community that is slowly growing into something great. We have idea's that flow freely to one another about role plays and just general commodores of furs who've known each other so long.
And here is how this site is different from all the others, We lack drama those other sites produce on a daily basis. We lack the ability to discriminate because someone can't spell a word here or there. We lack a standardized popular line of who is who and why they are so great.
Yiffy.Net did not become popular over night with thousands of furs flocking to it because, Well It was something special. It was about the people in it that made is special until all that Drama mama Came along.
When I look upon this site, I see room's and room's of potential for what it is. Not because of all the toys we have, Not because we have a radio station. Not because we have a chat.  Sometimes it takes a little for people to really see what Furry within is all about. Where its going, What we the furs want it to be.  But it takes time for people to understand this.
We will get there eventually, And be where you want us to be Azh. But look at the progress you've made thus far? And the  creative minds that have come because of it. Some Furs, All they really want is to get laid. other furs simply want others to hang around. Some just wanna have a little fun before they go to bed.
If you ask me you got a lot of good things going on here....
There isn't very much you can improve on any ways Azh. People will be people and they will always come and go.

I haven't been around as much as I should and for that, I do apologize everyone. Work has been crazy and if it's not work, it's something else. I want this site to succeed and to thrive. Now, I'm not a technical person and I don't really know what all is required for a podcast but I think that could gather more viewers. I'd hate for Azh to close down this site after he spent a great deal of time and money trying to make it work. I'm doing my best to be on more often and to contribute to the site more.

I know I am actually probably the largest offender of vanishing from FW to the point I probably deserve some sort of award or something for it lol, but yes I would like this site to pick up again like it was before I poofed for a bit..actaully thats part of the reason I poofed..there was pretty much zero activity even in the chat, even when there were 9 or so people in nobody would speak for about 2 hours at a time most of the time.

We need to encourage new members that join and not treat them like invisible fleas. Try to rp with people and no nagging them about smaller posts, some people are just getting into rp'ing you know and need to build up experience to pump out paragraphs, don't just outright refuse to rp with them, ease up on your posts to make them more comfortable and encourage them to continue instead of scoff at them, I wont name names but there are a few here guilty of that..and a few guilty of just discouraging people from being in chat or on the site by nagging at them because they have some personal beef with the other member, and instead of ignoring them they just make subtle or not so subtle remarks about them or to them and that drives them away, including some really good and experienced rp'ers. Ignore button..use it instead of griping.

Also, there is one thing that is amazing that would help here with users in chat, and that is the system yiffy.tk uses for character profiles, its easier and more user friendly than having to go to the forums and make a new post and all, and it has the ability to easily put in a picture of your char than embedding a pic in the forums, its also faster to make a char that way when everything is set up and seperated, such as history, about, interests and so on, and you can still put in a backstory for your character as well, easier to navigate too, with just a click of the mouse or two you can see who you are looking for rather than digging through the forums for a thread that might be buried under a few pages of threads and then searching for the character in the thread.

Ok that is my rant with my..well thats probably more than two cents worth but meh..its how I feel and what I think might help, not trying to discourage anyone just pointing out things that could be changed that would make people want to join and tell their friends that its a great place to join, even if my opinions aren't welcome for reasons of my once being a mod here and no longer having that duty or my quite possibly being the God of Inactivity.

There is one thing I have noticed around the site, myself I spent most time in the game forum and put up a lot of the ones I liked to play... then well the new wow came out and I got drawn in and was playing that mostly.  I am kinda back still only talking to old friends in the chat and staying away from the forums myself.  I know bad kitty but what I am not seeing is a real reason to head to the forums.

The profiles say nothing about the fur I am talking to in chat and I have to did around to hope to find who or what they are.

There is no bonus for rping on the forums or posting in the forum.  I miss the shops that add reasons to post and things to get ^^.  I am a gamer kitty thru and thru and stuff like this give me a reason to pay attention and enjoy reading/posting on the forums.

Adding things like voice chats, radios and games from the site will bring people to sign up for the site but will not help give a reason for posting.

As for rping, there is some fun topics yes, but there is not a very big section for things.  It might be worth looking into making stand alone World threads or School threads.  I have been wishing for a site to have something like this since I was on yiffy and still never got it approved.  It might be looking into to.

For the above topic I will give a good description of what I am talking about.  Make a spot in the forum for the name of the rp, like Furry Within Highschool.  Have a sticky topic of rules for the School, what the time is, what type of characters are allowed, like modern day, earth biased furs.  Then you can have another sticky topics for Character Sign up's and profiles for this said world, staff and students.  As for topics they are all biased on the school, classes with teachers posting work and stuff, Dorm rooms for Furs to rp with each other or day to day things.  School events.  Things like this that give a good concept of what to expect out of the rp and limits to what will happen in the rp.

It is also a good idea for Worlds you think up or just game remakes like Resident evil, Final Fantasy, World of warcraft, and turning them into furry fun.

It is just the few inputs I have and I hope it helps.

Those are great points actually.  And having a forum where we can just hop in and out might give an interesting spin.

Shame you weren't around when I had a site.  The whole place was a stand alone world.  XP

I have a school thread up. A Art school thread but a school none the less. For music dancing and just about anything. WE are looking to get more people interested and come up with a better name. I am going to make the intro thread once I get some other things down packed. But there is a school thread. You just have to look for it. IT should be in RP discussions right now, its still in 'talk mode' but if you go look at it maybe you can throw some ideas in there. IT may not be a highschool but it is a school. So check it out would ya XP we need some more ideas and some more players :)

[just thought I would throw that out there >.>]

I know there is some out there and they are fun but the problem I have always seen is when you try and get a good big world type rp going there is so much cross rping and different people doing different things that it gets confusing and people tend to start leaving.  I would love to see a spot for a type of rp like that where you could have multiple threads from the school with different stuff going on to help keep the cross rping from happening.  It just seems to be a good way to pull rping into the forums and keep people interested in the threads for a longer amount of time

Oooooh, you mean like threads within threads. No I totally know what you mean. Well, thats something to talk to Sthemio about most definitely. But I get what you mean, very much so.

Yesh yesh, whole new rp topics/section for just one place of rp...  so everything in that thread is just for the said type of rp

Well this is easy to do. When you start up a thread, and someone wishes to break it off in another direction. Then you give a quick talk to the people in the thread about what your going to do, and either make a separate (and private) thread about it.

The created threads should be in the respective boards for the topic they are on.

You could do that, it's true but it loses the feel for it.

I have seen that too but it does take away a little since you would have to hunt down the other threads around the other boards and it would take time.  Putting things into a condensed form like this would draw more attention to it as a whole and if the rp takes off with many stories, many ideas, and many people it will draw more people in to be a part of the larger rp.  And with many smaller rps going on in the bigger rp it does not scare people away from joining and messing up the flow of the people already in the rp.

An easier solution would be to ask me to create designated roleplay scenario boards, which I think was mentioned earlier in the conversation. It's quite easy to do. This would allow it to be one set location with fixed environments and rules, but allow for multiple stories without the need to post in the same thread.

This

A lot of times, it seems that RPs don't get off the ground because it's difficult to come up with a particular setting while remaining creative. This way, many anxious RPers can simply join a pre-created world, which I know you'll have AT LEAST A FEW TAKERS
