I'm hoping to find a little group of maybe 3-4 others to have a little RP with. I don't know what exactly I want... but I want to use a character that hasn't gotten much use.
His name is Noitora, he is a feline warrior that rides upon a raptor like creature and wields but a single blade. (If you want more info on him just ask)
I'm not looking for sex, and no super powerful magic. Just something simple and kind of adventurous. He is out on a quest of sorts to explore the world and all. Maybe he meets some others along his travels.
I'm not sure... I need a little brainstorming help.
I'd be happy to join in, and happy to help as well. Maybe his quest isn't quite clear either, perhaps he was told a prophecy by an old seer who he helped and part of his "quest" is finding out what the hell s/he meant when he was told it. I know I'd be more than willing to cut out most of the magick Mikk uses as it's usually just ancillary to his character, and the raptor like creature sounds interesting. Would be interesting to know what other similar creatures there are.
Hmm... Old Seer? Like a Shaman? I kind of like that idea, but what kind of prophecy would it be? I would be more then happy to have you join in.
The raptor creature is rather different, he is a riding beast that Noitora bonded with when he was only a young boy. You'd have to see picture of Vostra to understand what I mean by Raptor like. *chuckles*
Well an old seer could be a shaman, a priestess, hell a Gypsy if you like. The point isn't as much their station in life as that they see past "the world" as it were, to something else, something more.
As for the prophecy, if others are joining in, it needs to be something bigger than the one man, something that requires a group to fight off, perhaps a reborn demon? oh, or a cult summoning or creating a god . . . maybe an army building and the group is to go in unknown and take out the leaders to ensure they can't rightly go to war . . .
that's the beautiful thing about the medieval setting, your options are about as limitless as they can be.
I prefer the term Shaman because it fits better with his tribe. But I see what you are talking about.
Interesting ideas to be sure, not sure which one would suit the idea yet... still kind of thinking.
Wait... medieval setting? I mean sure his Tribe is kind of medieval... but I'm not so sure that is what I want the setting to be. *shakes head* I'll have to think about it.
feel free to think about it, and when I say medieval I'm talking about a very vague idea, the tribes, castles, swords and magick . . . it's not very tightly bound, I just like to call it that as there's the similarities and honestly I'm rather a fan of the medieval style of setting.

*nods* Well I've been thinking about.. all day mind you. And perhaps something along the lines of the Shaman foresees Noitora meeting the others and they are destined to do something great. What that would be is a little clouded for me personally. Perhaps save the world... or even just a country or something. *shrugs*
I would like more input I would like to get more ideas and such.
Perhaps they do save their country and perhaps she does forsee them before they arrive. But what if it's less simple than that, what if it's not simply the shaman, what if Noitora sees a vision himself, a much less clear one and goes to the shaman to ask what it means, the shaman using some strange and ancient ceremony to open his mind to her and sees the vision within his mind explaining to him aterward what it means in a less obscure but still foggy and hard to grasp way.
Mmm.. interesting Idea but had a great idea slap me in the face last night.
The shaman giving a vague description of the other travelers he is supposed to save the country with and then telling him to visit another shaman who sets the group on a quest to gather some very special items that will help them save the country. Each item would only be able to held by the one destined for it.
Question is what would these items help them do? Release something or help them defeat some sort of evil?
maybe it's more personal than that. In the Stephen King book, "needful Things" each person in the town was given a special item, it started to drain their soul, but if anyone else took that item, it didn't do anything to them, but the person who it was meant for, it fufilled some sort of need they had, or an addiction.
Maybe each item, and the one it's destined for are meant to be found together because the item "unlocks their potential" or something like that, it would certainly make sense as to why he'd be directed to each person and they each item.
Each item will be given a power, something to enhance the user to help them. If anyone else dares touch the item other then the one destined to have it, it won't be a very pleasant experience.
I have a few vague ideas on the items right now.. but until a set number of travelers and some profiles are given they are kind of.. in the works I suppose you could say.
But I do get what you are saying. I'm hoping more people will become interested, particularly a female or 2 because all guy travelers tend to... get into arguments. >.>
I know what you mean all too well. If it helps I know at least one female I can go to about the RP, I can't actually PROMISE she'll be willing to join mind you, but I can at least offer it to her. Though admittedly it sounds amazing to me and I really want to do this RP

She says she's considering it as she's in several rps already
