Title: Reporting

As you may or may not know, the latter being possible if you just joined this niche or are so oblivious to things around you that you wouldn't notice if a rabid dog was devouring your crotch, this type of community attracts some unsavoury types. People who, for whatever reason, might just either be socially stunted to the point where they lash out from the most tepid comment, to those who simply do it for the lulz. I'm more concerned for the second group.

So, that's what this topic is about. How to weed them out effectively and efficiently.

If someone logs into the chat, with an obvious troll name, e.g. horse_dick_lover_59, then chances are you might have a troll on your hands. How you go about this is simple. Don't feed the troll. If they're being a tool, don't interact, because if they bait you into an argument and you handle it poorly, IE flame them, even if they are a troll, you are in breach of the rules.

Here is what you do instead: save a chat log of the event, and note down other users who were logged in at the time. Note any other accounts that the troll might have created and logged in simultaneously or after the first logged out. Send all the information you can to myself, or another staff member when we get them, either via personal message on the forum, or to admin@furry-within.com. And that's it. All you have to do now is wait for the troll to get bored and log out of the chat, unless there is a staff member in there.

As for trolls on the forums, the situation is far easier to handle. At the bottom of each and every post is a small link that reads, "Report to moderator". This will send all the information needed from that post to all staff, and give you an option to comment on why it is offensive or trollish.

Trolls are an inevitable annoyance, most likely because they never got hugs from mummy and daddy, or lost at MW2 or something, but they can be gotten rid of with relative ease. Just don't feed them after midnight.
