Title: The poet-dragon arrives
Post by: The Troubadour on September 18, 2010, 05:23:02 AM
It's good to see familiar faces.  I had just begun to get immersed in this amazing world of fun and family and sexuality and affection and silliness, and I won't give it up now.  I'm here to stay, among people who know the virtues of simple touch and deliberate love and general tomfoolery.

I am The Troubadour.  I'm an old dragon, it's true, but I'm always, always going to be young at heart.  I was separated from my own kind when we were finally hunted down by the Britons, and there were scant few of us left.  I survived, in the woods, telling the ancient tales and keeping the lore alive; but I was so large and looming, I lost the ability to meet other creatures equally and be present... so my body adapted; I shrunk.  It took me years to notice... I finally did when I met a wolf, and he was nearly as large as I.  In my joy we made passionate love all night, and ever since I live to be with other sentient creatures, tell stories, explore joy and sex and love and simple company, and to carry on the ancient ways.

I'm not violent, like most people think dragons are.  That's British propaganda.  Dragons are loving; we're violent when we're attacked, or someone we love is attacked.  We're also fair, and wise.  It's true... when I'm overcome with sexual bliss, I growl and become feral... but I don't harm.  I just release myself; there's a reason they call it "abandon".

Hello.

Welcome to Furry-Within, True!  It's always fantastic to have new people around, especially people who are new to the fandom.  I hope you find a niche soon and grow to be comfortable here.
