Furry-Within

So as some people know, I now have a Minecraft server. It's not an FW thing, it's just a personal server, but it currently has a 63 person capacity and anyone who would like to play on it from FW is welcome. Before I go into details as to what the server is running, please observe the following rules.

• Be polite to one another. In addition to myself, Natannis, and Eri have operator status, which means they can kick you if you're being a shit. Don't be a shit.
• Don't touch things that don't belong to you. Check with its owner first before you touch, and if they say no, have some respect and do not touch. If you do touch, in which case shame, and break something, and if you have no idea how to fix it, don't try, just tell the owner and hope you don't get banned for not following this kindergarten-level difficulty of a rule.
• No griefing. I don't care what your excuse is, if you grief, you're out forever and I hate you. This combines the first two rules, but it needs to be said.
• Don't lag the server. The server I've purchased is rather hefty, as Minecraft servers go, but all the same, running a massive operation can cause things to lag. If players complain, re-evaluate what you're doing, or talk to me about how you can improve operations.
• Ask before inviting friends. I'd prefer if people from FW were using the server, since that way I have some idea of knowing who people are, but if you desperately want to bring someone from outside of the site, clear it with me first before dragging them in.

Now, with that being said, here are the mods I'm running on my server:

Techworld 2. This is the base modpack I'm running, which runs on Minecraft 1.6.4 You'll need to download the Feed The Beast Launcher located here (http://feed-the-beast.com/launcher). Run it, find the modpack Techworld 2, and launch. Keep in mind that you will need a Mojang account to log in. What this means is you'll have to merge your current Minecraft account with Mojang (https://account.mojang.com/migrate). This is how Mojang run things now.



Now for the semi-important part. The address of the server. It is as follows. f-w.mcph.co Alternatively, you can use 158.85.69.136:34662.

[spoiler=How to add new mods to your FTB client.]
Step 1. Open your FTB launcher and click Edit Mods.

Step 2. Open your FTB mods folder for the selected modpack (In this case, Techworld 2).

Step 3. Place any relevant mods into the folder. Don't extract mods which are in their own .zip folder, they're fine as they are.

Step 4. That's it. The mods will now be included in the relevant modpack.[/spoiler]


If you have suggestions and so on about what things are in and on the server, or want to talk about something, let me know.

If when you try to log in and you find that the server doesn't let you in, one of two things has happened: you were either a shit and got banned, or I've added/removed a mod, in which case, look up above beneath the server address. I will update this page with any mod changes I made to my server, and to log on you'll likely need to update accordingly.

So a chunk got corrupted. Unforunately, due to the extent of it, I was unable to repair it. Sorry to Tannis and Eri. A new world has been created.

New mods have been added to the server, and we're running a modpack called Techworld2 now. It's easier on the server. Check the original post for mod addition details, and how to include them in your FTB pack.

So there was a slight incompatability with Project Red Mechanical. I've updated the package linked above to no longer include this mod.
If you happened to install it, either delete it from the FTB Mods folder (Which you can see how to access above), or disable it in the Edit Mods section of FTB. Both work.

Otherwise, everything is all good to go.

Added Traincraft to the server. Mod download is in the first post, add it as you would the first one.

Added: Galaxy Warfare - Pew pew lasers and armour
Added: Riot - Riot weapons.
Added: Ancient Warfare - All manner of ye olde siege weapons, castles, NPC soldiers etc.
Added: Statues - Build statues
Added: AutoUtils - Statues dependancy

Update: The riot mod is incompatible with the server. You can remove it if you want, but leaving it there won't impact gameplay.
