Ghosts, spirits, other entities

So...its getting close to Halloween again, a time of year acknowledged by more than a few cultures when spirits of the dead or other beings have an easier time walking from one world to another among us.  Samhain, the Day of the Dead, All Hallows Eve, and even other celebrations take place around October.

My question can be seen as simple, and not so simple at the same time.  Do you believe in Ghosts, spirits, or other beings?  If so, then why?  Have you had an experience that made you believe in them?  Or at least the possibility?
If not, what are your reasons?

I believe. I like to think the people who have passed on are still with me in some form or capacity.

While I am at no liberty to say what Stakie thinks, I am fairly certain I have had my fair share of ethereal entity encounters. The earliest instance was when I talked to my dead great-grandfather as a baby because he was waiting for Great-Grandmother Charlene to die. He and I had conversations off and on until he left (after Charlene died).

As I grew older, my psychic senses began to dim until high school- there, for every good deed I did after the Rachel's Challenge assembly, I could of SWORN I felt her (Rachel Joy Scott) spirit hug me. She faded away before I could see her, but it felt super cold for a millisecond. As of late, I have PLENTY of psionic energy to sense spirits, but no time to use said energy.
