Lattenmon

This is the log for the RP that myself and ZaffikaStorm are doing in private. As a prelude to this, thought it would be fitting for Lattenmon to enter into a Master/pet relationship, in-character, to help with the story, and for needed Digivolving, as per Digimon Tamers. The troubles I've had with the setup is the cards list that are used in the anime, but we shall likely just play the digimodify cards by ear. Be prepared for signs of affection among other things, hence the location of this log.

And, I realize, cleanup would need to occur to make this anywhere near enjoyable to read, plus adding details missing from... pretty much the beginning, and throughout. I'll try to work on this as we go, but for now I'm tired, and just gonna post this before I grow too embarrassed.

Lattenmon licks. "Mmm, afternoooon, how are you doing?" She then gives a hug. "Probably gonna swing back into the digital realm today, to check on things, haven't been around there in a while." She nuzzles [Zaffika], then licks before heading off back to train a little bit before heading back to the digital realm.

ZaffikaStorm hugs her back and kisses her nose "Okay. Be careful and if you need me, call me or whatever you do with this digivice."

Lattenmon did, indeed, call the digivice later, a glorified PDA, which put out a not-quite connection  shriek from the old dial-up days before it started to properly ring, the screen turned red and flashing [EMERGENCY MESSAGE] on the screen. After a few tones, the messge would automatically play, and Lattie could be heard breathing heavily as she started off. "Zaffika! I need you, something has happened to the digital realm! I need to get you here! Get a small emergency pack together and place the digivice near a wireless router, I will come to you!" The message would close, the screen then cycling rapidly through her status, changing rapidly, reflecting her panic. Health would show her as being injured and paniced on the screen.

ZaffikaStorm scrambles to get her gear and then ran to the wifi router. She flipped [the digivice] into full size mode and tapped the screen "Come on Lattie... I'm waiting for you."

The screen on the pad would go black, then flicker to a scanner, pulsing as it connected to the router near-directly, then started scanning. Nothing would appear, but then a grey dot would be seen zooming towards the center, before the device would appear to activate, then shatter apart, creating a portal in reality to the digital realm, which looked more akin to a path leading through a forrest than anything. Latten would appear, sprinting through the portal before it closed behind her, stumbling a bit when she finally got in. "Ack!" She tumbled to a stop, face first on the floor, laying there for a moment before slowly getting to her feet. "Something's gone wrong." She pants, slowly making her way back to Zaffika, swirling her digit in her paw to collect data.

(Cleanup stopped here for the night. WIll continue tomorrow. ~Latten)

ZaffikaStorm - Today at 5:46 PM
She looked her over. "Are you okay? What's going on?" She looked concerned and had the bag on her shoulders.
Lattenmon - Today at 5:55 PM
nods, then clenches her paw before opening it again, a small pouch in her paws with what looked to be cards. She holds it out to her. "I'm okay, but... there's a virus of some kind infecting the realm and the denizens." She frowns, looking to her, breathing slower as she took a few breaths. "It's... not good. These are your cards to use. Digimon modifier cards, they increase various stats or give me abilities I otherwise do not have access to, but I've had trouble with them. They seem to work or they don't." She frowns, then looks back at the router, then to her. "Insofar as I can tell, it's a virus that zombifies the infected. It's very scary." She sighs, the portal opening once more for them both, the datapad turning back into a watch with a sliding port on the side for the cards. "The cards to modify must be slid down the one side. They will take affect immediately thereafter. They don't last very long, though." She grumbles, looking at the portal at the forrest and pathways beyond.
ZaffikaStorm - Today at 6:03 PM
She nodded, trying to follow her and looked around at their surroundings. "Okay... just be careful. I'm not really sure what I'm doing. These new surroundings will make it awkward for me to fight in until I can get my bearings."
Lattenmon - Today at 6:18 PM
*nods as she steps through the portal with her and into the realm, holding her hand until they are through. They were in a small clearing outside a sickly, gunk-covered forrest. They were located at the trail ending overlooking a cliff and what was probably an ocean. "Damnit... We are so far...from the city...probably just as well"She motions to the forrest before them. "The virus has spread pretty far. So far,it starts as a gunk covering, but given enough time, the forrest would look perfectly fine, until you get hit with a bug... "
ZaffikaStorm - Today at 6:21 PM
"And does the gunk spread the virus?" She looked around trying to gather information
Lattenmon - Today at 6:47 PM
shakes her head No,but it can contain the bug. Like an egg sack. But, if we destroy the infected unit controllingthe area,  the virus should die locally.
ZaffikaStorm - Today at 6:56 PM
And that means you fighting the unit, doesn't it? she flipped through the cards to familiarize herself with them.
Lattenmon - Today at 7:00 PM
nods. "Of course, I can't very well expect you to fight against it." She hugs her, then looks at the forrest, looking back to her, waiting for her to be ready before they would continue in to the forrest through the path. "The main pathways are going to be where we will likely find enemies, but we can't avoid them. We have to help clear the area. Hopefully, allies will be able to join in the cleanup, otherwise... this will be a long campaign." She sighs, her shoulders slumping as she looks off into the distance, then straightens back up again, her shoulders rolling slightly, muscles coiling powerfully beneath her soft fur, readying herself for war.
ZaffikaStorm - Today at 7:13 PM
she pulled her into another hug We are a team okay? I'm your wingman. Just tell me what you need. I'm a quick learner.
Lattenmon - Today at 7:19 PM
hugs her back, nodding slowly. "Yes, mistress." SHe smiles a little, then nuzzles her slowly. She sighs, then releases her, rubbing her shoulders. "You need to stay behind me, though. I am here to protect you while you boost me to fight better." She licks her. "I... can't have you getting injured grievously."

ZaffikaStorm - Today at 7:29 PM
she gave her a kiss. well just remember that I've got your back. And that I am a fighter too. So let's work like a team. You ready?
Lattenmon - Today at 7:42 PM
returns the kiss, then nods, turning to look back to the forrest, cracking her digits by clenching them into a fist. "Mmmm, fucking ready." SHe growls, then stomps her way towards the forrest, pulling her arm socks up in a show of preparedness.
ZaffikaStorm - Today at 7:47 PM
She follows her and keeps alert to the surroundings.
Lattenmon - Today at 7:59 PM
steps into the forrest, her demeanor changes to that of warriness, looking up and around them, sniffing the air as they walk. "THis... puss gives it a stale, acidic smell. I can't detect anything with sight, either, because everything is just... digital." She frowns, her tail swishing slightly. "Watch the branches..."
ZaffikaStorm - Today at 8:09 PM
She wasn't able to make out the scent of anything either and she moved carefully to avoid the branches or making too much noise. "I don't have a scent either. You be careful too."
Lattenmon - Today at 8:46 PM
nods slowly, ears flicking out a bit. She stops, then looks around them, then up at trees. She looks around herself for a bit, then narrows her eyes and launches into the air towards a branch. She plucks something off of it, then lands, holding it in her paws steadily. It looked like a slightly overgrown cockroach, abuot the size of a mini-football. "This bastard. Ugh. Gross." She crushes it with a 'pop', then discards it. "That's it. To give you an idea." She growls softly, looking around and up again. "... get the 'Dash' card ready. There are more about." She looks about a bit more, at the pillars of gunk surrounding the trees.

she pulled the dash card to the front and nodded to her All right. You give the word and I scan it.
Lattenmon - Today at 10:34 PM
nods slowly. "Do it.... now." She waits, then jumps up. "DIAMOND STRIKE!" Her paws glow blue as she hits and slashes, the screeches of bugs and insects loud above them as she slices through the virus chamber above them, bug bits and data guts falling to the floor, as well as a couple branches and leaves to go along with it. (Sooo... this was kinda a set piece that I've been thinking about, to where lattie gets infected with the virus. Would you be okay with that? It would entail a fight and Zaffika removing the virus with a sharp impliment from whever it attaches to.)
ZaffikaStorm - Today at 11:00 PM
(I can give it a shot. smiles)
When Lattie reached her peak, she scanned the card. "Use your boost, little one! You got this!"

Lattenmon - Today at 11:06 PM

kept attacking in the trees. THe card was swiped, but the digivice failed, a red screen flashing at the failed card. A loud insectoid chirp is heard from above, then a pained yelp as she tumbles down branches back to the ground. One of the insects had latched onto the side of her head, the head biting hungrily at the side of Lattie's temple. After a few moments of being sprawled out on the ground, lattie slowly gets up and turns to face Zaffika, a blank look in her eyes before they start to glow bright yellow. Her lips move, but they only sputter, but if she could read her lips, she was mouthing 'Run Away!' Unsteadily, she took steps towards Zaffica, but then started to trot, then run after her, the tips of her claws glowing blue. If she were to notice the digivice, all it had was static on the screen.

ZaffikaStorm - Today at 11:17 PM
She growled at the digivice and then when she heard the yelp, she cursed. She watched in horror as this change started and when she mouthed to run, she shook her head. I'm your wingman... I'm not leaving you. Fight it, Lattie!
Lattenmon - Today at 11:20 PM
closed the distance to the vixen, using a clumsy swipe, but stumbles, howling in pain as the glow fades. "I can't fight it! It's changing, I can't Ffffuuuuuu~" The glow returns, taking another swipe at Zaffika with her paw.
ZaffikaStorm - Today at 11:28 PM
She growled and dodged the swipe, then took a chance and aimed a punch at the bug. Don't give up yet, Lattie! I'm not leaving you!
Lattenmon - Today at 11:34 PM
reels and gargles in pain, which quickly turns back to her voice. "Aaahhhh! You have to cut it ou-" The glow returned, and the puppet lunged at her, the movements more coordinated, the bug on the side of her head covering itself in the goop. Another swipe, but the body noticibly flinches, the glitch Renamon having luck on it's side this day with the code in her. The goop shed off, leaving the bug exposed again, but her face was cringing in pain.
(Would you mind if I posted this to the forums, the RP, I mean?)
ZaffikaStorm - Today at 11:39 PM
(Not at all. Feel free!)
She cringed and swung for her head again, hoping to take her off guard enough to be able to knock her down. When her fist connected, she followed with a leg sweep and quickly pinned her by jumping on her at the waist, hoping that her body weight would keep her legs from being effective. Come on Lattie... finish telling me how to get this bug off...
Lattenmon - Today at 11:47 PM
did stumble and shriek in pain, limbs flailing around helplessly,  her voice returning and a limb weakly going for the bug on her head. "Cut off the head-d-d-d" The glow returned, and she quickly rolled, aiming to roll the vixen off of her, then kick her off, before standing and going for her again.
I must say, there is not nearly enough nudity in life.
