What I mean when I say this is any music you can link us to that you would never hear on a radio or has a major record label.  Something you're willing to bet that no one has ever heard of before.

I really like unusual music so I figured a good way to start a collection would be to have a thread like this.  Please include a vague genre is you can just so people can weed out the stuff that they don't want to hear, but others might.

My first recommendation is Mushroom Song - Tricky Pixie.  They're a folk(ish) band from some country or another.  I thought they were Finnish at one point but I forget.  They say their genre is; "Gypsy Celtic Folk Rock for Naughty Punk Faeries"
"There is a growing awareness that language does not merely reflect the way we think: it also shapes our thinking. [...] Language is a powerful tool: poets and propagandists know this — as, indeed, do victims of discrimination"

Tom Waits I`ll be gone

Tom Waits - I'll Be Gone.

Genre? Whimsical, I suppose.

I'll start out with these two.

Minusbaby - Left (album, .zip)
Genre: Chiptune
I'm particularly fond of this album, for some reason. It has extremely interesting sounds, and I love its progression. I suppose it could be called very "rich" or "thick", perhaps.

Autechre - Grantz Graf
Genre: Techno
This is actual techno, that is, not the general electronic music that most people either call "techno" or "electronica" (the latter isn't even a real genre, it's just a word Madonna made up). Anyway, this music video, besides being very interesting, has absolutely /stunning/ synchronization with the music. Watch it and you'll see what I mean.

This one is a bit unusual...

Russian Circles - Carpe

It's Post Rock methinks, a sort of desolate improvisational rock with no lyrics, designed to give the impression of a post apocalyptic scenario. The song constantly changes throughout, with no real repetition. Claims to be a genre of it's own, so it seems fitting.

And this one I've noticed some to find cruel and unusual, but that tends to be the case with these kinds of music:

Schnuffel - Ich Hab Dich Lieb

Could call it "Cute" trance or Valentine, I dunno. It's a whimsical cute love song of sorts, sung by an adorable bunny. I picked the German version because I don't really want to know what the little guy is actually saying. It's probably sickeningly sweet and will ruin the otherwise decent trance beat behind it.
Will change to something better eventually.

I like what everyone posted (except the bunny song, its a bit too...not my style).  My boyfriend is busy dowloading Tom Walts and I really enjoyed Russian Circles enough to download it.  The chiptunes was a bit too rugged for me to sit and listen to, the song would snap me out of whatever I was doing every time it would come on.

Pala Tute by Gogol Bordello

Apparently this is a Ukrainian wedding song, but I'm not too sure about that.  XD  Either way, its fucking catchy as all hell, my boyfriend and I get it stuck in our heads all the time.  Its one of those "so terrible I kinda like it" tunes.

As for genre...I have no idea, heavy folk?

Most of the songs are from unknown bands except for two.

Not sure on some of the genres.. upbeat techno?

Says the playlist doesn't exist unfortunately.

That was surprisingly hilarious but I love it.  XD  Have you ever listened to Manowar?  (The guys who did the original to that song?  They're a band so fail they're hilarious.)

KKontroll På Kontinentet by Kaizer's Orchestra

I think these guys can only be classified as circus metal?  XD

I love this song... found it... without actually looking for it ^^ Its kind of cute and unusual how they use photography. ^^

Her Morning Elegance / Oren Lavie

Edit: Just a warning. It does have strobe/flashy effects in the middle-ish of the song. >.>

~Chocolate and Catnip, what can be better?

Oh!  I love that song/video.  I saw someone post that elsewhere only a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it.

Tomboy by Panda Bear

I have no idea what genre you could consider this, conceptual alternative?

I don't know that I would call Shonen Knife "cruel and unusual," but they're definitely off the beaten path.  They're super cute though (it's just three girls) and so yeah.  Here they are. <3

Shonen Knife - My Magic Glasses

Shonen Knife: Hamigaki

"Hamigaki" is probably the weirder of the two, but "My Magic Glasses" is just my favorite song ever.
Where do you think all these appalling wars and quarrels come from?  Do you think they just happen?  Think again.  They come about because you want your own way, and fight for it deep within yourselves.

(14:25:43) Zerrif: My sister just made me deep throat a granola bar.
(14:25:43) Zerrif: .-.
(14:25:53) Tsunama: Faggot.
(14:25:58) Bellatrix:  Sexy zerr o.0
(14:25:58) Sabata_McCloud: You enjoyed it.
(14:26:00) Dissius: Should have been easy for you Zerr.
