So, just for fun, I might post up a riddle once a week. If people can solve it, then they may get something. A trophy on their profile, or a status badge on the forums or something. Bragging rights.

They'll be a mix of logic puzzles and abstract puzzles.

Also, I'll be changing wording significantly for these so people can't just Google them, but I urge you to not try anyway in case you get lucky. No one enjoys a cheater.

For the logic puzzles (you'll have to figure out which ones those are), show your working.

Your rich grandfather has just passed away and wants to leave to you his entire, vast fortune. However, you have 99 rotten relatives, and he knows that if he just eaves the money to you, you will forever be pestered by them for money.

He devises a plan to have you win the money in a competition, trusting in your ability to solve riddles. His lawyer has everyone gather at his mansion to read his last will and testament. His will reads, "I have stored my money in a safe, the combination to which is contained within a puzzle. If all 100 of you solve the puzzle together, you shall all receive an equal share. However if just one of you solves the puzzle, that one person will rightfully inherit the entire sum."

His lawyer then leads everyone to a room in the mansion, which hosts 100 lockboxes, all closed. Each lockbox contains a piece of paper with a single word upon it. The lawyer explains the rules.

Every relative is to be assigned a number, from 1 to 100. Relative 1 will open every lockbox. Relative 2 will close every second lockbox. Relative 3 will change the status of every third lockbox; if the lockbox is open, they will close it. If the lockbox is closed, they will open it.

This pattern will continue (4th will change the status of every 4th lockbox, 5th will change the status of every 5th lockbox, 99th will change the status of ever 99th lockbox, 100th will change the status of every 100th lockbox) until all 100 relatives have opened their lockboxes. The words in the lockboxes open at the end will help you uncover the combination to the safe.

You step forward and declare that you know the solution. You must find the phrase in the lockboxes and the combination to the safe.

Reference: The words contained in the lockboxes.

first part: most numbers have an even number of unique numbers that multiply up to them i.e. 22=11x2. however numbers that have square roots i.e. 9 or 16 have an odd number of unique numbers that multiply to them i.e 16=2x8 or 4x4 which means the amount of numbers is 3. the numbers with square roots lead to the words "the code is the first 5 lockboxes only touched twice"

Part 2: only prime numbers are touched twice, i.e. 3x1 is the only way to get 3. the first 5 prime numbers are 2 3 5 7 11. 1 is technically a prime but due to the fact that no one else touched 1 but the first guy it doesnt count. hence the answer is:

2 3 5 7 11
FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF

QuoteMy skin scalds like fire and coal,
My heart is chilled like a witch's soul,
Tear my flesh, I bleed red,
To know me, you must break bread.

I feel really stupid for asking this but, is it a hot pocket?
