What kind of kit do you carry with your horses? Or, I suppose, what's in the saddle bags in that pic?

During this ride, I didnt have all of my usual stuff, because so many people had EVERYTHING, but for this ride I had extra halter, extra lead, a couple brushes for the lunch break, hoof pick, some antiseptic and minor cut heal, extra clothes for me incase it rained and a costume that I didnt wear, and like.. a buuunch of water bottles. Pretty sure the bags weighed more than my saddle. Which is a super old barrel saddle. So kinda shitty for trails as its got NO padding, but its the only one I could get that actually fit my sharkfinned boy. Usually I have a med kit, SMB boots, and some snacks for him and I. I love those bags. You can fit so much shit in them. <3 Makes camping on horseback easy!

Oh cool. Kinda wish I could go riding with people, camping like that would be fun!

Okay, so... So far, this month (October 2016) has been weird as FUCK. Literally right when the month started (seconds after midnight on the first) weird shit started going down, some apparent hit and run or something (I didn't ever really find out what DID happen, but I heard a lot of shouting, and there were a bunch of people running away) outside my apartment, my roommate hurting his back at work, myself finding some weird loophole in Wisconsin state legislature on the morning of the 6th because I was REALLY bored (AB 142 section 10 - It repeals the law that classified butterfly knives as switchblades in the state of Wisconsin, and therefore illegal to own), and then on top of all of that, now apparently there are reports of people running around not only my hometown, but the whole country dressed as clowns, scaring people with weapons, and sometimes even committing crimes. With all of the bullshit that's happened after only a few days, I figure now would be a good time to show off my emergency kit. Note that this isn't nearly everything, and I apologize for how shitty my apartment is...
