(It's an idea I've been trying to get off the ground for a while now.  >.>)

2452. It is a second Industrial Revolution. Great strides have been made in Artificial Intelligence, robotics, and machinery. Die Neuedeutschearmee, The New German Army, has built a robotics research facility a few hundred miles off of its shores in the North Sea. The underwater research base, known as Dunkelblau Himmel, specializes in military robots for Special Forces operations. The robots, known as the R-5 series, vary in model and strength. They range from light combat units to full-out war machines. The ability to use these robots has been granted by NATO only for protection and never to be used as hostile invasion weaponry. However tensions between countries and armies have died down to almost nothing. The world seemed to be at peace and order.

"Progress on experiment R-59AW, alias "Mjöllnir" has gone well. The design has been completed and the AI programming is almost complete. The amount of firepower that this droid possesses as well as its highly-developed internal computing system gives it almost human-like qualities. It is almost completely unnecessary creating a weapon such as this, since there hasn't been any serious tension between countries in almost five years. However we have very little else to do down here and it is always entertaining to see just what projects we can successfully develop. Our research and development team has done very well with what little funding we have after last year's abysmal safety inspection."

*Audible sigh* "The safety inspectors last year found several potential implosion zones as well as multiple fire hazards in each building of the complex. As a result, the German government cut our funding by at least a quarter and put us under administrative watch. Although we have fixed all of the imperfections in the building, the cost of the repairs drained a good portion of the funds that we had set aside to create the R-59AW, which is just about nearing completion."

"The safety inspectors are due to arrive on May 23rd, and hopefully their survey will go better than last year's."

"The safety inspectors were quite pleased that we had gotten our facility up to code and fixed all of the problems that they had pointed out. However, the repair team that focused on fixing the implosion hazard in our assembly building seems to have cut corners. Upon inspection, it was found that the retaining walls have been weakened by the constant water pressure and their strength is rapidly declining. The inspectors wanted to enter the holding room for R-59AW, which I politely forbade. I simply could not allow them to see the project that was so nearing completion.

Unfortunately, the military personnel that accompanied the inspectors insisted that I stand aside and let them enter the room. I reluctantly did so; after all, who can argue when they have automatic rifles pointed at their head? The fault was found to run around the entire length of the holding chamber. The safety inspectors immediately closed off the area and evacuated the personnel after determining that the hull's integrity was at 48% and rapidly falling. A report was immediately sent to Bundestag and a sanction was placed on the facility. All personnel was ordered to leave until proper repairs could be made.

I was furious; this would cause such a mess with production!

I cannot let them leave. Nobody can leave."

No, I do not plan for anyone to want to play a droid, though you can if you want. Regardless, read this first. Droids have specific models and variants. Variants are determined based on their secondary weapon. Here is the list of variants.

FT: Flame Thrower
SG: Shotgun
RL: Rocket Launcher
IR: Incendiary Rocket
GL: Grenade Launcher
SB: Scatter Bomb

Droid Models and Descriptions:

R-51: Simple footsoldier droid. Possesses average firepower and armor but above-average speed. Primarily used for reconnaissance and light combat operations.
Variants: R-51FT, R-51SG, R-51GL

R-52: Hardy soldier droid. Possesses average firepower and above-average armor. Primarily used for medium combat operations.
Variants: R-52FT, R-52RL, R-52IR, R-52GL

R-53: Specialist droid. Possesses above-average firepower and average armor. Used for whichever weapon is its respected specialty.
Variants: All

R-54: Engineering droid. Possesses below-average firepower and below-average armor. Primarily used for repair and restore operations; essentially used as the Medic unit.
Variants: None

R-55: Combat droid. Possesses above-average firepower and above-average armor. Primarily used for medium-to-heavy combat operations.
Variants: Any combination of 2

R-56: Artillery droid. Possesses above-average firepower and below-average armor. Primarily used as a sentry droid for key points.
Variants: R-56FT, R-52RL, R-52SG, R-52IR, R-52GL

R-57: Heavy combat droid. Possesses excellent firepower and above-average armor. Primarily used for medium-to-heavy combat operations.
Variants: Any combination of 3

R-58: Personnel-transport droid. Possesses no firepower and excellent armor. Primarily used for transporting soldiers and other personnel.

R-59 (Mjöllnir): Intense combat droid. Possesses excellent firepower and excellent armor. Essentially a tank with a sentient mind, there is little that can stop it. Primarily used for heavy combat operations.

Keep in mind:
-No godmodding. Reasonably explain your character's actions or don't do it.

Also, be different. I don't want to run an RP with 50 soldiers.

The story will start just after the most recent safety inspection and take off from there.

Query; what is the general premise of the situation? As in, what would characters face in this RP? If you wish to avoid spoilers, a PM or IM response might be necessary.

The only thing they'll be facing would be the multitude of droids that were activated and released.

Background:  Caecilia has only been in the researching field for a few years, but she has references in high places.  Her reputation for meticulousness and professionalism in her work preceeds her.  However, Cilia is still fairly forgetful and has a hard time remembering things on the short term.

I suppose I could be one of the robots, if you like. I could probably could play one of those better than I could a person. I'd be interested in playing either an R-54 or the R-59, depending on what you need.

Question, and this determines which character I may be using for this, because I am highly interested in it. In this future, have there been any genetic modification experiments, i.e. enhancing of reflexes, gaining powers such as the ability to manipulate electricity, fire..and so on?

Due to previously stated rules, I shall NOT be putting Logan into this for even when he was young he was a wee bit overpowered, this is the nature of the main focus of my entire character body, seeing as he comes from an rp LONG ago that went into crazy stuff.

Never know. it is rather far into the future after all. In any case that does decide teh character I would use

Name: Cypher Kuntz
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Class: Engineer
Equipment: Cypher sports a bracer on his arm that is very much like a computer-- it houses a lot of information, can display holographic panels of this information, and can be used to compute, calculate, or search up information in databases. Due to a failed invention a long time ago, it also stores Cypher's memories, as his hippocampus was damaged and the long-term memory portion of it was damaged, and rendered no longer functional.

It's also a kind of small toolkit, in which various tools and devices emerge from. Think Inspector Gadget-- but they're limited to tools mostly, and a very small stun gun.

Cypher is a White Tiger (which is nothing more than a regular tiger with just a pigmentation problem), although he is an alabaster white, save for his back which has slight orange hues. His stripes are only really visible on his back, they fade as they head to his sides and are not visible once you reach his front side. He has a mop of black hair that he normally just combs aside, but doesn't really style or keep kept well.

Other than his bracer, Cypher sports a glove on his other hand which is used to control the holographic panels or interact with them. Other than that, it's just a glove.

Background: Cypher is a leading mind in artificial intelligence and robotics, creating many of his own for various tasks and uses. As such, it was natural that he was stationed on the Dunkelblau Himmel for maintenance, and creation of more droids. He had minor help in creating the R-59, but for some reason shows more interest in it than the average technician.
