Yeah so maybe I'm a little obsessed with it.  Don't judge me.

Anyway, just an interest check for a Left 4 Dead RP.  3 slots (obviously) are open for anyone interested in joining.

OCs, because using the original characters would be boring.  We could just play the game instead.  As for environ restrictions, it will most likely be the same variation of weapons/pickups as L4D2 with a few new guns/melee weapons thrown into the mix.  Safehouses will definitely exist, and you could improvise and make your own molotovs, but there are restrictions as to how much your character can carry.  All of the details will be posted after the last slot is taken.

Alright, so here's where I post the groundwork for the RP, such as rules and restrictions and such.  Yes, I added new weapons and whatnot because I can.

   Handgun - 15 rounds (can be dual-wielded)

   Adrenaline Shot – Gives player a quick energy boost (One turn to use)
   Atropine Shot – Temporarily revives a dead player to final knock-down (One turn to use)
   Morphine Shot – Temporarily restores all health, health drains slower than Pain Pills (One turn to use)

Rules:
1.) Following the first rule, obviously the more damage your character takes, the less they're going to be able to function (depending on the character).
2.) Keep track of your ammunition and character damage.  It's going to be highly improbable that your character will get out of a panic event with only one magazine being spent and only bruising their shin.
3.) Depending on gear and character background, some might get tired quicker than others. As mentioned before, this is more realistic.
4.) Items that take one turn to use take an entire turn from the moment the item is used to the moment it is finished.  Players are free to act before and after using the item if they wish, but if the item takes two turns to use, the first turn is entirely devoted to using the item.  The second turn can be used to finish using the item and then perform an action.
5.) Characters are allowed to have one skill specific to their character.  For example, a game hunter would have more proficiency with long-range weapons, a football player would have more stamina and would be more difficult to knock down.

Name: Lucas Cahill

Occupation: Firefighter/Paramedic

Species: Golden Retriever

General Appearance: He wears his yellow turnout coat and pants, with heavy black boots, red suspenders, and a navy blue t-shirt and pants underneath.  His coat is unzipped, with "NSFC" on the back between his shoulder blades, and "FF Cahill" underneath that.  He has no helmet, hood, or gloves.  He has a pair of wire cutters and pliers in the side pockets of his turnout pants, and a pocketknife clipped to the inside of the front right pocket of his duty pants.

Personality: Lucas is lighthearted and easygoing when possible, but is serious and focused when work needs to be done.  He tends to advocate the most to go back and pick up a Survivor incapacitated outside of the safehouse, since he firmly believes in the "Everybody Goes Home" mentality that 8 years of working for the Newtown Square Fire Company had taught him.  However, if it comes to a decision between another Survivor in the party and another lucky one who had just happened to run across them, he will almost immediately suggest sacrificing the (un)lucky one in favor of the Survivor.  He is a strong leader with firm moral roots and a stubborn mind.

Character-Specific Skill/Ability: Being a Paramedic, Lucas is able to carry two Recovery Items and two Temporary Recovery Items.

I'm thinking that this will take place in the northern states (Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, etc.) because that offers more varied scenery than my original idea, which was going to be out in the plains states.

Species: Timber wolf

General Appearance: He wears the usual army fatigues you would see on any other military member with the usual combat boots, though the front of his top usually remains unbuttoned, in case it needs to be removed in a hurry, which shows his navy blue t-shirt underneath. He also has a sling over his back that isn't used much anymore since it was used to carry a second weapon for specialty missions or heavy assaults.

Personality: Nick is usually easygoing, but can get irate quickly under pressure. He usually likes to have as much fun on the side as he can, but since all this started, and the only reason he's not dead like the rest of his unit being that he'd slept in that morning, it's a little hard for him now. He believes that things need to return to order as soon as possible, but knows when to get out of a situation getting out of hand, and will make sure he can get as many others out as he can. Afterall, the military is supposed to be here to save the populace.

Character-Specific Skill/Ability: Being in the military, he can carry an extra main weapon in his sling, allowing him to shift between range fighting when needed.

General Appearance:

(Miranda looks very similar to the posted picture, except with a few minor differences. Her eyes are green, her muzzle would be slightly longer and a bit narrower at the tip and her fur is sable brown in color with a circle of black ringing the nose and each eye.)

She wears standard police issue "road gear." Navy pants with a lighter blue stripe down each side, steel shank black boots, long sleeve button-up navy shirt with company patches sewn on each upper arm. Below her work shirt she wears a bulletproof vest and light blue t-shirt underneath. Around her waist is her "duty" belt. Attached to that thick strip of leather are several pouches for ammo, and keepers (you know those leather strips that snap together and hold the under-belt and duty-belt in alignment) along with the retainer ring for her nightstick. There's also a holster on her right hip, but it's empty.


Personality:
Miranda tends to be a bit cynical, generally thinking of the worse possible scenario first and then trying to avoid it. She tends to be solitary by nature, so may become easily agitated around others. She tends to react rather quickly and remain focused during times when it's called for but usually needs time after to deal with it.


Character-Specific Skill/Ability: Being an armed security guard, Miranda wears a bulletproof vest. It allows her to take less damage.

General Appearance: Wearing a pair of blue jeans and a red and yellow Hawaiian t-shirt as well as a pair of black running shoes. His large ears perked above his disheveled hair, which was long enough to cover his eyes. He has a scruff of hair on the end of his chin that sticks out about an inch from the end of his chin. He wears a belt to hold up his pants as well. Simple leather and a buckle. A pair of large eyes in his head, light brown in color. Somewhat of a lanky body type. Personality: Contrary to his choice of clothing style, he is skittish and wary to the verge of paranoia. Eyes that would dart about, looking for movement that may or not be there, his ears following quickly after the eyes as they twitch on his head when frightened or alerted. He has kept up with the infestation since almost the first day, but even with this knowledge he knows about as much as anyone. (And considers almost anything for the cause of the zombie invasion in reason.) Even with his somewhat cowardly attitude, he is far from willing to head out on his own or leaving anyone behind for the fear of being on his own. He is also a pack rat, believing anything has its use. And is willing to search high and low for items of use as long as the situation is safe.  Is a habitual chain smoker when in a safe house, and drinker if he gets his paws on a bottle.

Character specific ability/skill: Being constantly aware of his situation to the point of being hyper sensitive , he can spot enemy specials, items, and safe houses from much longer distances then the others.
