Furry-Within

So, I've been doing some thinking (I was just as surprised as you guys.) and I realized that a great deal of the members on the site are gamers. Be it tabletop, PC, PS3 or Xbox 360 we all play games. (At least, most of us.) So, I propose on staring up a CoD:BlackOps or Borderlands Group to test it. I'm also thinking about getting Minecraft and making a server for a few of us to gather and get to know one another and make new friends. Let me know what you guys think!

I've got Borderlands and Black Ops...I don't really play Black Ops anymore though due to cheating douchebaggery...though if the group is up for playing full team brawls and whatnot else, I think I'd be into it.  Apart from that though, Borderlands is fun, I've got all the DLC for it, and a few level 60+ characters.  Though for the sake of the group I think that maybe we should start new characters and then go from there depending on who we play with.   But that's my opinion. 

  Other games would could get into would be Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, Red Dead Redemption, Rainbow Six Las Vegas, most recently would be Brink or maybe some Gears of War 2 to work on achievements before the new Gears 3 comes out this fall.   

Cause..believe me when I say that it completely sucks playing against a bunch of randoms that don't do anything but lag, cheat or are in general, douchers.   

Alright, well that's a start of a group! I only have a Steam Account and an X-Live account. My steam account (FYI, I can't play many games due to my computer being...well lacking. But I can play Minecrat when I buy it.)

I have plain Borderlands and GOW2 with all of the map packs, which I don't play at all (It was a birthday gift from a friend of mine.). I could borrow my brother's copy of Modern Warfare 2, and try to get into that.

I should warn you all that I only have a DSL connection. No, I do not plan on upgrading anytime soon, so do not whine at me if I lag or something. Pay for cable each month and installation for me, and I will consider using the cable connection to play games.

I don't have any first-person shooter games on any console, whether it is pc or PS3, because I hate those kinds of games, but if any of you Do happen to play what I'm playing I'm up for playing it with you.

For those of us with shitty ass computers like myself.  I suggest we might try and use Skulltag.

Skulltag basically enables Ultimate DOOM (and it's counterparts like Plutonia and DOOM II ) to be run on XP and Windows 7.  It updates some of the pixel graphics to be more appealing and allows you to either host online games or join them.  It can handle up to 32 people.

An accessory I might like to throw in is Brutal Doom addon.  What Brutal doom does is add a mesh over the pistol and turns it into a assault rifle.  It also gives gore and blood splatter effects.  And by gore. I mean gratuitous and ludicrous amounts of gore.  Want to see a zombie soldier's head explode?  (with all your keys mapped and freelook always active)  you aim your shotgun at their head and BOOM.  You sometimes even see jaws and teeth on the floor.  You can even brutalize corpses.  The Big fun is when you grab a berserk pack.  You get to see death animations when you use the fists.  You'll really begin to RIP AN' TEAR!

So yeah... 

If we are not only talking about FPSes,  my library of games explodes. I have more games of almost every other genre except FPSes. The only reason I get the damn things is because all of my friends are obsessed with them. Except for Borderlands, that game is actually fun to play.

It is a shame you do not have the 360, Sock, because I have a lot of arcade style games for it. I wish there was a way to get all of the systems to be able to play with each other if there is a multi-platform game on all of them.

I know Valve supports multisystem gaming (if I am remembering correctly) but Portal 2 is only co-op and I'm not sure about the rest of their games, though I've heard (not certain) that they also support multisystem gaming.  So as not useful as that was, I thought I'd throw it in.  I forget my steam and PSN name, will have to wait until PSN is back up, heard it'll be the end of this month.

I'm glad I have so many people interested. Cheeky, I'll try and get my steam up and running. Maybe we could Minecraft sometime?

I've never really been a PC gamer.  ^^  Nor an FPS gamer...so the list of games I can play with people drops significantly.  I don't mind giving Minecraft a try though.

I have Minecraft as well. I got to get back into it. I've been so busy with other games that I forgot about it.
