Furry-Within

Another one that I had an idea for was something of a bit of an African descent. My character, is a human hunter who has traveled the world doing documentaries on wild life and whatnot else, and -only- ever hunts what has been deemed dangerous or has been commissioned by wildlife reserves to be put down. So basically, dangerous animals. One of the such missions takes him to North Africa, Specifically more or less the desert regions that border on a lush jungle/oasis. He's been hired to take down two lions had have become rather dangerous, and by dangerous, they mean that they've killed livestock and have taken the arm off of a small boy nearly killing him. So they bring him in beause of his reputation. He goes out from a small area called "Hunters Drift" a hunter camp where a lot of old British men retire to safaris and the like when they reach "That age" and whatnot else.

My character goes into the wild and starts to track this lion, alone, as that was his style. Unfortunately for him, he bites off a bit more than he can chew. The lion ends up attacking him and hurting him quite badly. He does however, kill the lion but he figures that there is no way to cure a gaping chest wound that he can see his sternum through; so he just lays down beside his jeep and starts to wait for death to take him, passing out in the interim. What he doesn't know is that the gunshots were heard by a rather particular individual, a cheetah tribeswoman. She was collecting water and just getting away from her father, who was constantly trying to marry her off to the next available man that came along from either within the tribe, or from another one that was far away. She wasn't having any of it so she made her "hideout" in an old abandoned hut that was used by missionaries as a school from when she was a little girl. She goes to investigate the gunshots and finds the lion dead and the hunter laying there dying. She ends up taking him back to this hut, and calling hunters drift through an old telegraph that was left there when the missionaries had come through many years prior. A medical team comes out and helps him heal up, she stays with him the entire time, attracted to him for some unknown reason, maybe it was because of his rugged good looks, maybe it was because she cared for him for nearly 2 weeks while he was in a coma from blood loss, or maybe it was because with this man, she had a chance of maybe getting away from everything that she'd come to hate about living where she did.

She could speak English and such because of the missionaries that had come through, mentioned before. So there isn't really a communication barrier...now the -interesting- part about this is that she herself, is a tribal princess...not just an every day average woman. So she has to keep her little fling with him secret until he's healed enough to travel so he can take her away with him.


So yep, that's the idea, looking for possible players for the cheetah girl; possibly the minor role of the doctor, maybe a smuggler trying to get them out of the country, I don't know, discuss, bicker, argue and whatnot else it is that people do here!  For further information please PM me or something.  We'll see what comes of this.
