The young buck stood outside the tavern, fidgiting in place. What had he gotten himself into...? It seemed as though the Vultan was repulsed by his presence aboard. He wasn't sure what to make of that, and hte rest of the crew didn't seem to care much. Did that badger say to give the buck hard work? Shiloh was going to make sure that he would avoid him as much as possible. The buck HATED labor. If anything, maybe there was a position for a poet aboard the crew, or maybe a storyteller. He didn't feel right working. They weren't going to make him work, were they? How barbarian.

Shiloh stayed outside, taking in the air. He wondered how long it would be before he would smell the familiar smells of the city.... eeugh, well, maybe not everything, he thought as two men wheeling a cart of shit down the road passed by. Bursting out the tavern was the woman the captain was speaking to... What she part of the crew? The buck hoped so. So unlike the brutes that he would be sailing with, here too was someone who could probably appreciate the finer tastes in life. Keeping quiet, he followed her to the boat, though he did not follow her ONTO the boat. The buck paced nervously infront of the loading dock, biting his lip as he debated wither or not to run or to go...~

The eyepatched pangolin walked along the harbor, looking about at the different ships docked. He knew what ship it was that he was going to go to, one of the crewmates had told him in the bar. He had not remembered that the man giving him direction wasn't a crewmate of His captain, and thus he had ended up on a different ship. So, cursing a dirty oath about killing the man if he would ever meet him again, Marcs had been walking along the docks for a good while. It wasn't until he saw Elektra walking towards a ship that he knew where he would go. He did not go up to her but instead followed. She was a... strange one, but he did not see the any real problem to her being on the ship. Genders had a small influence on him when it came to pretty much everything.

Speaking of gender confusion, when the woman had gone up on the ship and Marcs were to do the same he noticed the buck standing and looking up at the ship. He glared at the male with his un-blocked eye and leaned his head to the side. Was this brat really a man or was he a girl in male clothing? Considering his way of being it was a difficult question for the pangolin to answer. Wether he liked it or not, no matter if the buck would be a good muscle, they needed every crewmember they had made joined the crew, so they couldn't have someone run away. So he grabbed the bucks shoulder, maybe a bit harder then necessary, but why not?

"C'm on, get on the ship. Rule one of being a pirate. Ye say something, Ye complete it. If I'd be ye I'd worry about them muscles of yers, if ye have any. Don't do that, ye should get used to the work in a month, least."

He heard the pangolin talking to the buck before he saw them as he walked towards the ship. It took him a bit longer to reach the ship than the others because he had to stop by a shop and get some supplies. Nothing special really just some shaping stones for his knifes and a few cloths to patch up his clothes if need be. All the money he had won earlier was spent after all he will need no money on this trip.

Before the buck could respond to the pangolin he broke up the two by walking between them.

"Don't waist yer breath on this one. He ain't no pirate, he ain't no man, he ain't even a boy. Boys at least have a spine. He ain't nothing but a leech. Relying on others not doing a thing for himself. Better off dead I say."

With that said he took a few steps on the plank connecting the dock to the ship and spread his wings. In a few flaps he was airborne leaving a strong gust of wind in his wake. Unlike the sea witch he preferred to stay as far above deck as possible.

Landing in the crow's nest he loosely tucked in his wings and closed his eyes. The sea wind flowed over his body and through his feathers. This is where he belonged in sky, the wind his only real companion. The only real companion a sin-eater like him deserved.

Mikkaddo

The rest of the Crew and the Captain followed them to the boat, he watched the Vultan fly up to the Crow's Nest and chuckled to himself, sipping from a large bottle of rum. He had to laugh at the look on the boy's face, and smacked him hard on his back, grabbing the back of his soft silky feeling clothes as he almost fell off the dock. "Boy, dun listen tah 'im, he's just mad at ye fer bein rich and lilly white." He chuckled and moved forward onto the boat. "LADS ALL ON BOARD! WE SHIT OUT NOW!" the winds were picking up, taking the smell of the salt in the seas to his nose. He took in the scent smiling, he loved the smell of the sea, he loved being out on the sea. Now he had a full crew, and a bearing to head for. Things were looking up, coming storm or no. He watched the men coming onto the boat, and yelled again at them. "OY LADS! WE'VE A SHIP TA SAIL GET YER ARSES ON 'ERE!" The crew started to pick up their pace, and ready the ship to sail. Lowering the Canvas, lifting the anchor, tying off the masts in the proper direction and waiting for the last stragglers to be on board before shoving off the dock to get under way.

The badger had made his way with the captain. Not knowing where this ship would be or what it would look like. From his eyes, it looked to be a decent vessel. The salty air he had gotten used to, and almost didn't notice it as he boarded the ship, the large crate strapped to his back. As he boarded he worried a bit that the gangplank might snap under the weight of him and the box. It looked to be almost there, but held steady till the badger was on board. The wood creaking under his stout stature. He had gotten used to a few ships, and took a wild guess to where his quarters would be. Making his way down below deck, he found where the dark and damp storage room was. He set his box down with a thud that was probably felt the next floor up, opening it with its rusty hinges. He got out a hammock, a rather large one sided ax, and a bag full of something. He sets up his hammock, which was more akin to a small sail as it stretched across the back of the storage room. Climbing into it, it almost touched the floor as his mass sank the hammock. He set the ax handle in between his legs, holding it steady. One hand behind it, the other rummaging through the bag of stones. He pulled out one, small symbols etched into it. The akin to magic would feel a bit of something from them. The others, would just feel that they were rather cool. The badger, simply knew that they were runes that were given to him by the elders. He would run the stone across the edge of the blade, its metal quietly humming to the touch instead of the slow scrape that most stones would have. It was almost musical with how it sounded. The badger humming a song as well, keeping the strokes of the stone with the tempo of the song. He sang a slow dirge, though in the Celtic tongue he was raised with. Fond memories of home rose to his mind as he smiles, listening to the song him and his weapon made*

Shiloh in the cargo holds, in the ship. The vultan from before; that guy REALLY didn't seem to like him. The buck wondered why anyone could possible not like him! He was handsome, noble, educated, well dressed, noble... What was that creature's problem? Shiloh would've said something if he didn't cover his face and run and hide in the deepest part of the ship.

Shiloh paced about in the darkness. He felt the ship move, people shouting, anchors being pulled up as the wooden vessel came to life. Shiloh sat on the floor in the cargo hold and took deep breaths...  don't have a panic attack, don't have a panic attack... He sighed deeply. He was going to be fine. Everything's allri- is that a spider? the buck screamed "AHHHHHHHHHHARRRUGH SPIDERRRRRRRR"

Bellatrix

A light in the bucks darkness as a match was lit. Elektra had chosen the cargo hold, the cannons... everything that was put at the bottom she was there. She had been wandering about, moved from the cannons to the hold. She lit a lamp for the buck and looked down to the spider he so very shrieked about. "No need ta have anothar stohm on ar hahns." She bend down and let the little spider crawl onto her fingers. She lifted him up and turned toward one of the beams and would set him there. "He was jus lost." She gave a nod.

"Like tha dark?" She asked raising a brow. Her thick tail swaying lightly side to side. Her ears flicking, jingling as they did so from the earrings she wore.

The pangolin had just walked up to the ship, seeming as neither buck nor anyone else would pay him any larger attention. After helping out with getting the ship ready for sailing in what way he could, he had stretched himself up a bit before walking towards the ships front, and sat down by it's edge, leaning against the ship's edge and took a deep breath. He would have preferred to be in the crow's nest himself, but this would have to do for now. He switched his eyepatch over to his healthy eye, only to reveal that his other was just as perfectly healthy. It was a nice day today though. Good for sailing. Something told him that they would have way more trouble in the future, but he did not care for that now.

He watched the crewmen run about doing their last preperations onboard before they would leave the harbor. He himself had no desire to look out over the land, it mattered way too little for him. Thankfully he had gotten himself some grog before getting settled right now though, and he was sipping it thoughtfully.

Mikkaddo gave one more yell that it was time to come aboard if there was any stragglers. And for good measure he looked down at the dock as the ship started to move. They were shoving off, he could see the crewmen down there pushing hard against it to move them in a direction to get ready to head out to the ocean proper. He felt a swelling of pride in his chest. This ship . . . his ship . . . his freedom. These men and the lone woman on his vessel, they weren't that much of a concern of his. He was paying them after all, and if any of them went down to steal from the hold, it wasn't like they'd have anywhere to go with it for a long time. Least not anywhere they'd do good to go to. He took in a long breath, the last time he'd be smelling this air with the smoke and pollution of the city for a while. He took one of the crewmen from running along the deck he was on and said. "Oi laddy . . . you know 'ow ta stear one o' these older ladies?" The man nodded and patted his chest, gods be damned he was a mute. Just what the captain needed a damned mute that he couldn't properly speak to. He grabbed another as he went by and got him to translate. "Aye need's ya tah stear us tah the island on this 'ere map lad." he put out a map on a table, taking out some small knives and stabbing them in the four corners. He pointed with a claw to a tiny island in the southern seas of the Caribean. "Down there . . . we neeed tah be at the southern tip as soon as possible got me?" The man made signs with his hand and the other near him spoke up after he finished. "Aye sir, I'll 'ave us there 'afore yeh kin spit." Mikkaddo gave him a stern look and pointed at him then slowly walked away. He could stear it himself but he was feeling like spending some time with some of the more intersting members of his crew instead. After all, it's not like you get a new crew and a new journey every day. He went down toward the front of the boat finding the Pangolin leaning on the edge and took out a bottle from his coat.

After he pulled off the cork he took a long swig from the spiced wine in it. He then moved it out toward the man. "Spiced wine lad . . . a lot better than that grogg ye got there, care to try it? I spent more 'an a pretty coin or two on it last time I made port in England." He said looking out over the water ahead of them as they moved out. The spray of the sea made it all so much better to him. The taste of his wine even seemed sweeter with the salt in the air from the ocean. He loved it so very much he couldn't say out loud, couldn't describe with words.

The male looked up at the captain as he walked up to him and rose an eyebrow at the offer of the spiced wine. He shook his head lightly and took another chug from his own bottle. "No thanks. The charm about grog, be that it be simple. Simplicity, fer a simple mind." He poked at his own head and let out a small chuckle. He did not stand up to join the captain as he overlooked the seas, but he did notice how taken the male seemed to be with the sea. In a way, he understood him. He had been the same the first time he had been out to sea as well, but the second time.. it did not end up so well for the ship. A reason to drinking he told himself, like he would ever need to have one. "We be going in the correct destination then capt'n? I've never been any good at navigation, so I'd have to ask one of yer others."

He stretched a bit and let out a small yawn as he awaited the captain's response, taking a sip from his bottle a little now and again. If the captain of the crew was as infatuated with the sea as the pangolin thought him to be, then the answer could take a while. But he didn't mind.

It took a little less time than it might have seemed it would, but the Captain never looked away from the open ocean before them. He took down his hat staring at it and said. "We be goin' tah a place not many men feel comfortable goin tah . . . that's why it'll be only the few of us from the ship gon' down tah see 'er . . ." He looked at the pangolin. "Have ye ever had occasion tah go down pas' the island o' the Pentacostas?" He said looking at the Pangolin. His face wasn't as soft as before, it had hardened with the thought of the destination. The lasting lights around them shining onto his fur showing even more clearly the harsh edges of every single hair of his face. The long hair on top of his head shining slightly with bits of grey hidden in it. "We're goin' pas' them, leavin them behind us 'afore we get tah our destination. But we're leavin the ship behind fer it." He pointed down the side of the ship, several smaller boats attached. "We take those down tah the water, and then up the long river . . . tah 'er home. Deep in the swamp, murky darkness all around us." He looked out into the water again. "And we pray she's willin' tah deal . . . I gots no doubts she'll deal . . . the trinket I 'ave on me, she'll want very badly. The problem is . . . what she wants as payment fer what I'm lookin' tah get." He looked at the Pangolin again. Careful not tah touch anythin' in 'er home . . . could cost ya more 'an yah kin pay."

#41
The snow leopardess was running as fast as she could, her tail of a skirt flailing behind her... She knew she wouldn't have the time to go grab the necessary items she would need to show that captain she could cook for the crew of his. And just what she had expected, just as she made it to the docks, she'd seen the ship pulling away. "No!" She yelled out as she tied the rope of her bag around her, unwrapped the climbing hook she always carried with her, for when she would need to climb trees for coconuts, or other fruits. Swinging it above her head, while making sure the end was wrapped around one of her wrists, she gave the hook a good toss, seeing it catch hold of the railing. Smirking, she jumped off the edge of the dock and held her breath as she landed in the water. Thankfully, she was still happy the hook was still attached, as well as her wrist, as she started to climb the rope, and out of the water, as well as the side of the boat. "You ain't leaving without me..." She stated with a smirk as she hoisted herself up the side of the boat, her fore claws helping her dig into the wood as she finally made it over the railing. Taking a deep breath, only to release it, she smiled, unwrapping her hook only to place the freshly wrapped rope over her shoulder.

She looked around as she needed to find that captain... Captain Mikkaddo he had called himself... She was glad all she had retrieved was fruit... and they were the ones that didn't get waterlogged quite easily. "Cap'n Mikkaddo!?" She yelled out as her baby blue eyes searched the boat. Sure her clothing was skin tight and soaked now, but she didn't mind... She'd do anything to live out her dream. Trying to dry her long messy braided brown hair, she walked to where she had noticed he was standing. Smiling widely, she stopped before him. "Sorry I didn't make it, Cap'n! I was tryin' t' get me needed in'redients... When I went aft t' t' Tavern.. you were gone! So allow me t' introduce meself, Cap'n. T' name be Rosette. I cook and climb t' get all me needed food from islands we land on. Please let me be t' cook o' your ship!" He could see what she had been through just to get onto the ship, her red off-the-shoulder-long-poofy-sleeve shirt was binding to her body, showing off her womanly form and curves to all who admired, as well as her body tight knee length black pants with the tail of a skirt behind them... and it was obvious she had climbed up onto the boat, and not been injured. ""Please cap'n. I can feed ye and keep ye healthy as can be what with me food... atleast let me show ye what I can do..." She pleaded him, her chest still rising and falling from all the previous actions she had done just to get onto the boat.

Mikkaddo looked her up and down very slowly as she gave her rather long explanation and chuckled looking between her and the Pangolin next to him. He took in a long breath, smelling the sea on her, not a surprise since she'd just come up out of it. He waited for her to finish and catch her breath and put away his spiced wine, capping it first. Then he took in a long breath and let it out again and grinned at her. "Well lassy, yer on me ship already, though, ye didn't respond in the tavern, so I'm no't exactly very tempted tah let ye stay on  'er." He looked her up and down again. "Though, ye smell of the sea, an' yer dress is showin' her talents on a man's mind and taste . . . yer peekin' mine own." He leaned toward her a bit, taking in another long breath. "Mmmm, ye wants tah cook fer me an' me crew . . . I thinks maybe I needs some convincin' first . . . I'm not the 'ardest man tah convince, but . . . it might take some . . .work." He grinned at her. "Ye willin' ta put in the work tah stay, yer welcome tah. But otherwise . . . there's plenty o' time tah reach tha shore again right now . . . tis up tah you Lassy." He chuckled darkly to her, licking his lips slowly and taking down his hat to his chest. "If yer' willin' tah work fer it . . . welcome tah the crew."

Rosette smirked with a small chuckle to the captain. "I was late because I did wish t' surprise ye with ah dish... but since it took longer than I wanted ta... I grabbed t' finest fruit I could." She patted the bag that she had wrapped around her body before the boat chase. "Perhaps I could show ye a delicious fruit salad I 'an create... right here on t' deck infore o' you and your... Pangolian friend..." She looked to the male beside the Captain, but then her eyes went straight back to Mikkaddo as she untied her bag and opened it up. Kneeling on the deck, she placed a cantaloupe, small watermelon, a covered carving knife, and a banana. "Let's begin.. shall we?" The smirk stayed planted on her muzzle as she soon got to work cutting and carving the fruit in such a delicate fashion. Soon she had the watermelon rime bowls filled with watermelon, cantaloupe, and cut up bananas. Using a much skinnier knife to stab at all three fruit, she stood up and moved closer to the captain. "Open up, Cap'n Mikkaddo..." Rosette purred out as she was right in front of him, her wet clothes almost pressing against his perfectly dried ones... her long thick tail moved to wrap around him but, again, not touching as she was still soaked... But she stayed there to give him the comfort she was close. " 'ave a taste, Cap'n.. I promise they be delicious..." She spoke up as she held the knife close to his maw, knowing full well he could smell her... practically feel her body against his, and she didn't mind one bit. "Convince ye I did... unless ye rath'a a more.. seductive... convincing... Cap'n." She whispered out as she licked her lips, keeping her eyes directly on his.

He grinned at her slowly taking the knife with his own hand and pulling the fruit off the blade with his jaws. He chewed on them, murring to the flavors and swallowed hard on it all at once. "Well, yer good with fruits lassy . . . but that' dun tell me shit about how ye do with . . . meat." He chuckled moving a hand to her waist, keeping the knife in his hand, and turning it around. "Mmmm, maybe ye could show me how ye do with . . . fresh meat, mm, something that will prove what ye kin do in a kitchen, or other situation . . . I've plenty o' thins tah be used in me cabin, show me there . . . will ye?" He asked, grinning at her, he wanted to get that seductive convincing done. And he would have her now in his quarters. He moved the knife to her arm, running the blunt end of it up and down the wet sleeve.
