Planet #426  designated Genesis 7 has completed the terraforming process, with the seed genes of plant and lower animal life required for a basic eco system well established.  The first two phases of the research project have been completed.  Phase three will begin shortly, with over three dozen forms of base life having been considered for S.A.T. (Sentience Alteration Therapy) amongst those that have developed already.

Due to repeated failures in Genesis projects one through six using unstable DNA mapping and planetary conditions, there will a a no contact policy once the first S.A.T  candidates have been reintroduced to the planet.  Any hint that the lifeforms have discovered our presence before projects completion will result in Clean Slate Protocols, initiated immediately.

Expect Phase Three to begin in two cycles.  End of Report.

Concept: The planet is very much like a primitive earth, with an alien intelligence granting sentience to select species in order to observe the results and leave a possible genetic legacy.  The life forms (humanoid, furry or otherwise) can be of any appearance that one wishes, some with psionic (psychic) abilities or traits depending on the concept.  The stronger the psionic abilities however, the weaker/slighter of physical build the being usually has.  Racial settings and cultures are roughtly just after the ice age era, (Think 10,000 bc with the first peoples that were introduced in the movie), with very few that might be further developed technologically.

What would your character concept be and would you be able/willing to come up with a tribe of that racial concepts since enough time has passed for the peoples to form various societies?

I'm not an experienced RPer.  So I may drop out if it gets too complicated.  But stoats are a solitary species, conveniently my DM asked me to do a write up for stoats so I'm just going to post that here minus the racials, etc.

Stoats:

Stoats are a species of the mustelidae family.  Short life spans make them bursting with energy; they are always eager to do and try new things but more often than not they are too eager.  Few make it to old age having managed to find a way to kill themselves in a variety of creative and silly ways.  They have a zest for life that is unparalleled but an indifference to death that can make them reckless.  It is rare to see a stoat who's not smiling or having fun.  They typically live comfortably away from swamps, deserts, and tropical locations.

Physical Descriptions:
Stoats have a rusty brown fur colour with cream coloured bellies.  Small rounded ears perch atop their heads and their eyes are a solid black.  Their paws are digitigrade and they rarely wear clothes, finding it cumbersome and inconvenient to their hunting.  Stoats are generally between 4'1 and 4'6 and have a black tip on their tails.

Society:
Stoats are solitary creatures and do not mate for life.  In fact, breeding is generally something that only the males seek out where the female half of the species avoid the experience to the point where horny and aggressive males end up being the ones who procreate as they're the ones willing to rape the females in order for the species to continue.  There are no traditions or customs that are passed down from mothers to offspring so there aren't any real cultural or societal values.

Relations:
Due to their solitary nature and their peculiar breeding habits making them scarce stoats are typically not even seen by other races.  Once in awhile a stoat will be curious and wander over to let themselves be seen.  Usually it is only in brief glances as they pop and and out of view and it is said that things generally go missing from their camp at such times.  Most people find the silly antics of stoats to be immensely amusing and will watch enthralled with their behaviour.  Despite the odd items that go missing - such as a cup, fork, or small morsel of food - most people don't seem to mind as nothing terribly necessary vanishes that they can tell and the silliness generally makes those at camp feel at ease and amused.  There is no particular species that have better or worse relations than any other, it is really only individuals that find that they particularly like or dislike stoats.  The odd time that a stoat does converse with other people the conversation seems to go in circles and the stoat generally has difficulty staying on topic.  All stoats are great tricksters and love to get themselves in trouble.

Alignment and Religion:
With no real society or passed on traditions there isn't enough structure for there to be any kind of religion passed on and those who do worship would be mocked by their brethren when paths crossed.  Stoats must be of chaotic alignment.

Adventure:
Stoats are extremely curious and already spend their lives adventuring in their own ways and though it is extremely uncommon for a stoat to join a group it has been known to happen, but typically if that stoat was reared by someone who's not a stoat and lives in a more social setting.  The reasons that a stoat may choose to go adventuring will rarely be anything more or less than because they feel like it.  Perhaps vengeance if the stoat felt slighted by someone, perhaps that someone interrupted a prank or pranked the stoat when the stoat wasn't in the right mood or something equally whimsical but also keep in mind that even if it is a vengeful tactic it's very likely that the stoat will lose interest over time.  Maybe they had so much fun playing around with a particular person or group that the stoat just tags along whether those being followed wanted a stoat tagging along.

*Chuckles*  Gods, its a furry equivalent of a Kender from Dragonlance!   Excellent choice and I think it would make things interesting.  Just imagine what one with psionic/psychic powers would be like.  *Shudders and grins at the same time*

I didn't really get into Dragonlance, always got them mixed up with the other Dragonlance series that I didn't like.  XD  I can post the full Pathfinder stats if you'd like, they get hypnotism.  I built the race using the guidelines that PF set out for race building.

Will this be a magic based game?

The sentient races will call what some are able to do magick, but it will actually be a kind of psychic/psionic power, so hypnotism would be easily incorporated.  (PathFinder is a wicked RPG system).

As the initial topic post mentions, its an experiment being conducted by an alien intelligence on a primitive world.  So at the moment, the time period is around or just after the stone age, some cultures being a little more advanced than others.
The weapons for your character concept you mentioned are more than possible, just nothing out of metal at the moment.

I've never used psionics before so this'll be fun.  And no metal, I'm perfectly fine with that.  ^^  Sharpened stone and a bow it is.

With the basic idea and the stoat's creative description of character. I am seriously considering hopping in this. Though with either a leopard like cat or basic sloth critter creature.

Not sure you did anything to kill the interest, bro. Don't blame yourself. I have read through your posts. Pretty well thought out idea I'd say. No, nothing you did that's for certain. I would jump in myself, but I am unsure of what I would be able to contribute to it time wise.
